I have been to a few Taro restaurants and on the last 2 visits I have been over-charged. Although this was not instantly obvious on both occasions as the food ordered is not broken down on the bill, its seemed rather high so I checked and was indeed charged for more sushi than was ordered. On this basis I will not be visiting any of the branches again.

Went for dinner here yesterday evening and had a great time.

There was a lively atmosphere and the food was ace. Menu was wide ranging, from noodle dishes (both fried and in soup) along with a good selection of bento boxes and sushi and sashimi.

I had a rice dish with pork which was lovely, I'm normally obsessed about the food portions but this was more than adequate at all reasonable prices. Staff were friendly, food was promptly delivered and fresh and the final bill for two of us with service came to a very reasonable £26!

Would definitely recommend as a good value for money place.

I happened to find this place on visit of London on my own, and popped in there. The katsu-don was one of the best I ever had in the UK and the atmosphere is as good as that of genuine Japanese restaurant.

Nevertheless, I am afraid I won't come back to this restaurant due to a waiter's attitude. He was quite rude to me when I asked him if it is a Japanese restaurant in front of the place. He just waved at me to let me in without a word. This guy gave me change incorrectly on check out, so I pointed it out. Then he almost threw extra coins on the tray roughly. This ruined all my pleasant feeling. It is a shame the staff do not seem to be trained well despite the quality of their food.
