Went to Piya Piya with a group of friends last Thursday night. Food was tasty especially the Green Curry (Yummy). Service was great - overall it was a great night out !

This place is more of a bar. They have no concept of how Thai food should taste and have tried to make it fusion. One of the worst places for Thai food that I've been to so far. They also lack a good service. Don't be tempted even with the discounted deal.

After work had a nose at local eateries around Old Street/City ... this place looked decent (50% off food helped too ;)) . Had duck to start was ok and sea bass and basil chili chicken for mains between two of us which was very good. Reasonably attentive service and the PInot Grigio was good. I think for <£25 a head not bad at all and would go back :)

Had a fab time last friday night went out with a frind of mine. Good service, although we did have to wait a bit long for our mains but i guess it was worth it since food was delicious and cooked up to a high standard. I would probably be back again to visit this place

We were told when we booked that they were extremely busy and we could only have a 6:30. Got there at 6:30 and apart from a table of 2 we were the only people in there, and we'd been shoved right at the back of the restuarant.

Service was OK, although some drinks were forgotten and some cocktails took far, far too long to arrive (again bear in mind we were more or less the only table) - But all starters and main courses arrived at the same time.

Food ranged from OK to v.poor - Starters: The Thai fish cakes were almost inedible with a v.strange flavour, while the veg tempura was nice if a bit bland. Mains, same thing - I had duck with crab meat and didn't detect any crabmeat in there at all, the green curry was v.watery and thin, but others enjoyed theirs.

Some of the rice was cold, when it was sent back it came back without any apology and was basically slapped on the table.

In short, while it wasn't the worse meal or place we've ever been, I would not recommend it to anyone else or re-visit. A few weeks back we went to Thai Thai which is just round the corner and that was so much better for about the same price

I went to Piya Piya on Saturday night for a Birthday dinner it was awful. The food was the worst bland tasting food I have ever had in a Restaurant ever before (and i go to a lot of Restaurants) an insult to Asian Fusion cooking I would say. The cocktails were watered down. The place was dead and had no atmosphere. They rushed us and told us that we'd have to finish our food by 9.30 or pay another £10 per head because the place was turning into a club after that time. It was AWFUL. I would not reccomend this place at all. Sorry.
