Inside

Frankly this is a gem of a restaurant, the likes of which Greenwich has been yearning for for a long time. Inside is unrivalled in Greenwich and gets better everytime I eat there. The minimal ambience comes to life on tasting the fabulous food (too many great dishes to pick one out) and the service is discrete and efficient enough to allow the experience to be memorable everytime. Top draw stuff!

This is my favourite restaurant. I have dinner there at least once a fortnight and have yet to be disappointed.

The food, service and wine list are all exceptional. It unpretentious and comfortable.

London needs more restaurants like this.

Tried this resturant Saturday on the the strength of this web site and having been unable to book The Hill.

Very disapointed,starter arrived after 45 mins annd then we had to wait a further 50 mins to get mains and then my wifes pasta was cold...we didnt send it back because we just did not have the time,and by this stage had rather lost the will to live.Apart from cold pasta food was ok if a little mean on size,but nearly £20 for a small rather tough bit of rabbit and lentils...I dont know...West end prices should equa.l a lot more quality.

Decor moden and stark (cold)

Serving staff pleasant but a little bland but no hint of apology or explaination for delays from the main man,not even a goodbye.

I went along on a Thursday lunchtime. As on the one previous occasion I have eaten there, the food was terrific. The set menu only offers one main dish suitable for vegetarians, but every dish on the menue sounds mouthwatering and every dish I have eaten there has exceeded expectations. Why we were practically the only people there beats me, given the fantastic value for money of the lunchtime prix fixe. Service, surroundings were first class. And my half bottle of Pouilly Fume was delicious.

After having read the reviews on this site, i decided to visit Inside in greenwich with my parents who were visiting london.

The restaurant was busy and vibrant and we were lucky to get a table for 3 without booking. It was a thursday evening but if i were to go again i would ensure that i booked in advance to ensure getting a table.

The menu is simple but varied, with about 8 starters, main courses and deserts.

The staff were efficent, pleasant and made you feel extremely welcome. The service was quick and unfussy, with there being more than enough staff to cope with the size of the restaurant.

I had the chicken spring rolls for starter, which were carefully handmade and superb in taste and texture. The dipping sauce that came with the spring rolls complimented the dish wonderfully.

For main course i decided to treat myself and went for the fillet steak. It was served with carrots and roast potatoes. The dish was wonderfully presented and looked stunning when served.

The meat was of the finesst quality and cooked to perfection. It was nicely browned on the outside and superbly soft in the middle - an absolute joy to eat.

My parents has the lamb, which was cooked as it should be - pink in the middle. It was served with lentils. Again the meat was of good quality and cooked extremely well. The dish was highly praised by my parents and it was obvious that they really enjoyed it!

We were all too full for deserts but next time i go i shall certainly try to fit one in!

The wine list was vast and varied and had something to meet everyones taste.

The price is excellent value for money.

I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough, i had a fantastic evening and shall be returning in the near future.

I am also delighted to have found the restaurant through this site and would like to convay my thanks for everyone who spends the time writing reviews.

Confess to feeling a bit disappointed by Inside. Greenwich badly needs a decent local restaurant with good food at reasonable prcies. Given the enthusiasm of many of the reviews I thought Inside might be it. Unfortunately not. The food on the whole is by no means bad - nicoise salad followed by potato and pea somosa were perfectly pleasant, but not spectacular (and the chef tries a bit too hard with the fancy presentation of dishes). But I would steer clear of dessert. The white chocolate and passionfruit cheesecake was frankly a disappointment - somehow managed not to taste of anything much despite two such strongly flavoured ingredients! Perhaps the biggest complaint though is the cost - these prices are simply too high for a local restaurant that doesn't serve spectacular food. (This may be a minority view, however, as the place was packed out on a Thursday night - which may say more about lack of alternative quality restaurants in Greenwich than about Inside...)

Unfussy food just done very, very well. Suitably off the beaten Greenwich tourist track, which makes it even more appealing. The lunch menu is particularly good value at just under £12 for two courses.

This has now become my favourite restaurant. The food is just wonderful, with flavours that really work together and cooked perfectly. The wine list was very well put together and they didn't complain at all about being asked for a jug of tap water to go with it (most places seem to hope you'll forget). Plus the service was attentive and helpful and we were not rushed even though we were of the two last tables there. My only complaint is that there's no bar to sit and wait for your table at, which meant we couldn't arrive early (the table was ready on time). I can't wait to go back.

Inside is located away from the more touristy restaurants in the centre of Greenwich, and the innocuous exterior provides no clues as to the riches that lie within.

The interior is simple and modern, and the tables are pleasingly far apart - we barely noticed our fellow diners at all. The service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive, and the timing of the courses was spot on.

For starters, the 5-spice chicken spring rolls were definitely in the 'best ever' category, and her fishcakes for the main course were scrumptuous. Although my steak was far from the rare that I asked for, it was very tasty. We rounded things off with a deliciously light raspberry panacotta.

This was a lovely experience for our special night out, but now we know about it we'll be back!

We had Irish friends visiting us in Greenwich so we wanted to take them somewhere local. We chose Inside as we've been a couple of times and it's always been fantastic. Once again they can up trumps and our guests where blown away. One of the group is vegetarian so it was great to see several dishes on the menu for them to choose from.

I had the spicy chichen spring rolls for starter, followed by Sea Bass and both were heavenly. The wine lists has a wide choice and the service to seamless. Well done Inside!!
