Inside

Inside is located away from the more touristy restaurants in the centre of Greenwich, and the innocuous exterior provides no clues as to the riches that lie within.
The interior is simple and modern, and the tables are pleasingly far apart - we barely noticed our fellow diners at all. The service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive, and the timing of the courses was spot on.
For starters, the 5-spice chicken spring rolls were definitely in the 'best ever' category, and her fishcakes for the main course were scrumptuous. Although my steak was far from the rare that I asked for, it was very tasty. We rounded things off with a deliciously light raspberry panacotta.
This was a lovely experience for our special night out, but now we know about it we'll be back!

We had Irish friends visiting us in Greenwich so we wanted to take them somewhere local. We chose Inside as we've been a couple of times and it's always been fantastic. Once again they can up trumps and our guests where blown away. One of the group is vegetarian so it was great to see several dishes on the menu for them to choose from.
I had the spicy chichen spring rolls for starter, followed by Sea Bass and both were heavenly. The wine lists has a wide choice and the service to seamless. Well done Inside!!

Slow service, the least charasmatic waitresses ever. Not rude or unpleasant service, just slow and unrewarding given the food wasn't anything special. Rich and different enough to a break from cooking at home but hardly worth what it cost.
£1.80 for a small glass of coke is fine until you see a member of staff get the plastic bottle from the oddly placed storage cupboard.
Interior is a bit bare and horribly quiet even though 11 of about 15ish tables were full. The painings on the wall were particularly garish.
Verdict - would proabably impress a provincial visitor but next time I'll just microwave a Tesco Finest and buy a can of coke.

Inventive menu with something for every taste. Food was really enjoyable and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. At £89 (for two) for 3 courses, a bottle of wine and 2 champagne cocktails (requested rather than feeling obliged to have as appears to be the trend these days), myself and my partner both thought it was great value compared to the cash cow signature restaurants of some of the more well known ‘celebrity’ chefs in the west end.
My parents are visiting next weekend and I plan to take them to Inside – say no more!

I took my Mum and family here for mothers day after reading the reviews. The food was amazing although was served very slowly and finding a waitress shouldn't be so hard in such a small restaurant. Over all it was a nice restaurant but they need better service.

I took my parents to the inside as a treat, really good value for money, lovely food, well prepared and presented, and the service was excellent. Only one issue, was we booked our table for 9.30, and their was limited choices left from the menu, so recomend you book for an early sitting, so not to be disappointed.

Its crazy - we've lived within half a mile of Inside since it opened - yet last Saturday was our first visit. It knocks the socks of the local competition; the ethos clearly being to deliver quality ingredients, excellent cooking and good service. Such a contrast to the Spread Eagle and Greenwich Park Bar and Grill which focus purely on filtering cash from your pockets. Sea-bass was pronounced 'best ever'; Guinea fowl was dismembered and presented as succulent roast breast, braised leg, and juicy sausage (presumably the other leg! and mystery bits). We will be back.

Dined at Inside last night; although we ate the pre theatre menu (and thus had to be clear by 8.30) we didn't feel hurried at any time and at £14.95 for two courses (£17.95 for three) it was exceptional value.
This is a great neighbourhood eatery, but with qualities that would suit the more rarified atmosphere "up west" - the fact that it's at the unfashionable end of Greenwich has probably helped to keep its light under Gary Bushell. Long may that continue as I'd happly keep Inside an SE10 residents only club.....
Our food showed craft, good sourcing and imagination - Her cauliflower soup and steak may be bistro staples, but my lamb kofta followed by mackeral masala were excellent. Perhaps the mackeral could have done more than just being shown the spice jar, but the lack of curry punch didn't take away from the overall balance of the dish.
Excellent. In the words of Withnail "we're coming back in here...."

We went to this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriends exam success - we'd read the reviews and we were really looking forward to it! We were not disappointed! The restuarant is decorated beautifully and the staff were attentive all evening. We ordered some champagne to mark the occasion and tucked into some bread and olives. I had the tiger prawns to start with and they were delicious, juicy and not too spicy. My boyfriend had the mussels and they too were plump and full of flavour. For mains, i had the seabass which was amazing, lovely and well thought sides. My boyfriend had the duck which he said was also amazing. We shared the brownie for dessert and it was great, not too rich, just perfect!
Overall, a fantastic evening and truly magnificant food - we will definitely be going back to sample the other choices!
