Had a really nice dinner here last saturday. I believe they vary the menu to an extent every day so good variety. Starters were delicious: asparagus and goats cheese tart, brilliant main: perfectly cooked duck leg with superb mash. Deserts were good but perhaps not quite as good as the rest of the meal. Excellent wines, went perfectly with everything.
Friendly atmosphere, I would say its the best European restaurant in Greenwich - comes in a bit cheaper than the Rivington aswell though by no means a cheap night out.
Will certainly return!

Excellent. How anyone can fault the food is here is beyond me.
Went for Valentine's Dinner, and terrific as usual.
Wife said the duck was the best dish she'd ever tasted.
Sort of place they could serve the food you hate most and it would still be delicious.
Just hope they don't take eye off the ball, as they've recently bought a pub down the road, the Guildford Arms, and are opening a restaurant there, too.

Considering the price, the food is really nothing special. The menu is far from imaginative, and there is a slight atmospere of solemnity that pervades the place. Having said that, the staff are very pleasant and our food was served prompty. But for the price, the food just isn't worth it. Won't be going back in a hurry.

My fiancée and I ate at the Inside last night. She had chickpea cakes starter, plaice main, and a brownie dessert, which came to around £30; I had poached salmon, chicken on lentils, and cheesecake, which qualified in the 3 courses for £21 menu. The quality of the cooking was extremely high throughout. The service was perfectly pleasant, although we unexpectedly waited around half an hour for our desserts. The busier the restaurant got the better the atmosphere; when empty as it was when we arrived, you feel a bit exposed. It's probably worth saying that the menu however well-executed is not overwhelmingly creative, and I think that the Inside remains a place for locals and those visiting Greenwich anyway, rather than a destination restaurant.

After having a lovely lunch at Inside as part of a team 'awayday', I decided to book a table for lunch a few weeks later as a treat for family.
The restaurant wasn't open when I called to book a table, however I left my contact details, the time I wanted a table for and they called the next day to confirm my reservation.
Considering the restaurant wasn't very busy (approx 5 tables of 4), the food took a long time to come out once ordered. Whilst everything we had was delish, I found that what we ordered on the menu, wasn't necessarily what we got - i.e. I ordered the chicken with cassoulet, yet it didn't have any beans - rather a medly of chopped vegetables!!
£53 for a two course lunch for 3 people, including wine and water. We enjoyed our lunch, but didn't expect to be in the restaurant 2 1/2 hours. Good food, lovely staff, however the service needs to be a lot quicker.
Would I visit again....not so sure!

The Maitresse d' went to a great deal of trouble to fit us in at very short notice and what a treat! The food, the room and the service were subtle, delightful and absolutely wonderful. Can't wait for an excuse to visit Inside again.

This is the first time in 2 years we have tried this restaurant after our first visit we left thoroughly unimpressed/dissappointed an vowed never to return.
However bygones be bygones and, just a little bored of having eaten at every other Greenwich restaurant, I finally decided to set aside my past experience/opinion and give it another go! I hear so much good stuff about this place from local people that I soon came to the conclusion that my previous dining at Inside was down to an incompetent staff member and perhaps just a slightly sub-standard night to have eaten there - purely just a bit of bad luck with the choices we made and what we got.
Well, I can report that the meal this time around was superb. We ate there early evening about 7pm so qualified for the 2 or 3 courses set price menu which I felt was good value considering the quality of the food and there was a well balenced range of equally tasty sounding dishes so our parties only problem was actually deciding on which one they would like to eat the most! Each dish was well presented and came out hot. I opted for a lovely light mozerella and tomato tart for starters and for main course the fillet steak. Both of which came in a satisfactory sized portion with plenty of vegetables and creamy mash. I just about had enough room for the cheeseboard to finish and it was well worth it!
The staff were friendly but proffessional, did not rush you into ordering, were attentive and happy to oblige when we asked for some butter and a few more oat cakes for our cheeseboard and were also accommodating when one of our party arrived late.
Would I go back again? Most definitely. The meal was not cheap, even with the early dining special menu. They add suppliments on to the steak, the sea bass and the cheeseboard and obviously with wine it soon adds up. The atmosphere and ambience makes for a very enjoyable dining experience and combined with the very tasty food, great range of wines and some good company, its worth every penny.

Having lived in the area for a few years now I have always had good intentions to dine at Inside but it was only last Friday I managed to do so and I wish I hadn't waited so long!
It's a small, cozy little place but comfortable enough that you don't feel as though your neighbours are sitting on your lap! The service was prompt but discreet (as it should be) and the waitress was always happy to answer any questions we had.
My friend and I both had the Tandoori Prawns to begin with which were delicious and very well presented. The flavours were exquisite. I had the Halibut for main and she had the Fillet (medium rare) which again, were both absolutely divine. The fish was melt in the mouth as was the steak, which was also cooked exactly as requested. The accompanying vegetables with both dishes were beautifully cooked and complimented the fish/meat extraordinarily well. We shared the cheeseboard which was more than enough for us and finished off the meal wonderfully.
We washed it all down with a bottle of Fleurie and coffees to finish.
I can't wait to take my partner here and have another great night at Inside.

I have lived in Greenwich for 4 years or more years, but I have never been to this restaurant till last night, when my boyfriend took me for my birthday.
I did a little research of this restaurant before visiting and it looked like an interesting menu and I wasn't disappointed once there.
All the food from starters to dessert, were reasonably priced and all very delicious, fresh and extremely well presented.
I would recommend this place to everyone/anyone.
The ONLY downside to this restaurant is the noise level can sometimes mimic that of a busy Pizza Express and the chairs are a little hard and don't give the restaurant the finesse it so deserves.
A visit is a MUST.

I've enjoyed every meal I've ever had at Inside - as has my wife. We always go quite early, "pre-theatre" as it were, so have never been disappointed by slow service.
The quality of food and presentation for the price charged cannot be beaten, in my opinion. The service is always friendly and I also like the decor and atmosphere. Moreover, there is always something interesting on the menu which we wouldn't cook at home.
It's just what I want from a restaurant.
