I work near Inshoku and it's the popular choice for my coworkers and I when we do leave the office for lunch. It's not always the quickest place to go for lunch, but the sushi is always fresh and excellent. Can't beat the price for a sushi Obento Box with miso soup either. It's recently been cleaned up (painted and new pictures hung) too.

I used to come to Inshouku quite often and found the food to be of good quality and reasonably priced. However I visited last Saturday evening and it was dreadful! The salmon sashimi was so fatty and chewy it was inedible. The tuna in my hand roll was not much better. The fish looked like it had just been bought off the reduced shelf in Sainsburys. Edamame was overcooked. However the gyoza were good. It was very disappointing as I used to love coming here and now have no intentions of going back. Walk or hop on the tube to London Bridge and go to Feng Sushi instead!

I haven't tried any of the other dishes here, but the sushi is very good, probably the best I've had outside Japan.

The portions where thick, fresh, and large enough to cover all the rice, unlike the menial portions that have been going around the counter for a few hours, at some of these chain restaurants in the capital.

Speaking to the chef afterwards, i learnt that he had spent time in Tsukiji. What better place to learn?

This restaurnat looks like nothing from the outside, but inside it's vast.

Really excellent value bento boxes and noodle dishes before 8pm- only £6. Where else in zone 1 will you find such a great deal?

Not much atmosphere- not a place you want to linger for hours, but there are plenty of other bars in the area for drinking. Decent, cheap food and friendly service. Great.
