The Conduit is one of the nicest restuarants in London the food is simply amazing. The staff are superb! All conduct a lot of meetings there and it always goes down well. It is one very good restaurant and always full of people

The Conduit seems to suffer from a serious personality disorder and delusions of grandeur. Is it a pub or a fine-dining experience -- hard to tell, because it come nowhere near to getting either right. While the food is good, more than £14 for a potato and leek tart (with a ridiculous champagne froth) would be a bit over the top at the Ivy or Le Caprice, but at a Marylebone Pub, where sandwich slices are served as bread, it is pretentious and absurd. My friend and I had the tart and started with squash soup (topped off with a scoop of cream and some sort of truffle oil, oh, and more sandwich bread stolen from the local Eat), washed down with sparkling water for lunch -- £50!.
The decor is not awful, but also re-inforces the dual-personality disorder -- mis-matched furniture, worn arm-chairs, and then full white table linens?!?!
My only advice is to avoid this place until the Conduit gets some professional psychological help.

The Sunday Roast of Welsh Black beef and all the trimmings were fine, but for £15.00 a serving there simply wasn't enough of it! I was still hungry thereafter. Great pint of stout though and good ambience.

Had an excellent value set meal at lunch time. It came quickly and tasted good. Only problem was that there weren't any other diners at the same time, it had a quiet feel. It deserves to be busier with this level of food and price.

The previous reviews actually encouraged me and my friends to go to The Conduit of Tybourne. Our plates were chipped. The overall atmosphere was overtly pretentious and cold. They can't quite pull it off. Nice wines.

The worst place I have EVER eaten in London. It is a shambles with awful decor to match - described by a colleague as a "tart's boudoir". They have tried to make an effort but on the cheap - there are still missing window panes!
We asked for a table whilst having drinks downstairs. We were then taken upstairs and made to wait 15 minutes whilst they pushed 2 tables together and put a cloth on it. After being shown to the table they then took our food order - why didn't they do this earlier? There were only 9 other diners in so they weren't exactly rushed off their feet.
After a very long wait, 5 of the 6 main courses arrived. I had ordered duck. It had been in the oven for hours - it was so over-cooked that my fork wouldn't pierce what little flesh there was on the bone. Four small bites and I had taken all the flesh off that I could. When I pointed this out they took it so the chef could have a look - didn't he do that when serving it?
teh 6th meal - a salad arrived 15 minutes after the other meals. The accompanying veg arrived after we had all finished our meal.
I was offered an alternative meal but declined - we had been in there 85 minutes at this point - very slow for 1 course. I got a sandwich nearby instead.

The Conduit is FABULOUS! Gorgeous ambience and decor, warm, friendly and professional service - just what Marylebone has been crying out for. An inspiring and delicious bar menu offering great seasonal fare such as a fabulous pigeon breast and terrines and accompanied by a small but perfectly formed wine list.
10/10!!

Fantastic, a great find. The menu contains an array of decent British/game dishes, I went for the superlative three-bird pie which certainly enthralled the tastebuds and contented my hunger. My wife tried the pheasant, perfectly complimented by the accompanying celeriac mash. The service was professional and the environment was fresh and regal. I will be thoroughly recommending this restaurant to friends.
