Jamon Jamon
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
The prices of tapas in Spanish restaurants has been creeping up over recent years, to the point where one has to be quite discerning over which ones to visit. Jamon Jamon still rates as a good visit; the service is friendly (though perhaps too flippant), the portion sizes are reasonable, and the ambience is good regardless of the number of diners. However, the microwaved tapas dishes quickly lost their heat and, on this visit at least, were quite bland. Having worked so hard to establish a good reputation, Jamon Jamon is in danger of losing it through complacency.

I am so surprised about all the good reviews!!!maybe they're old, if not I cant understand it. I am spanish, and before you say, I found a few good spanish restaurants, so that I do think is possible to have a nice spanish meal outside spain. We went there for a group dinner on feb2007,and it took us 45 MINUTES TO GET A DRINK, the staff have a "clercks"(-like the movie)attitude on them, kinda I am to good for this, dont annoyme, etc.I took an hour 15 minutes to get a starter on the table. It wouldn't kill them to give us a couple of plates of olives in 20 min, but I guess that's too much to ask.
When the rest of dishes came, the nightmare really began, one of the salads came with the worst mozarella cheese ever, so bad Im afraid it was out of date, nobody in the table touched it! The rest of the dishes where terrible as well, too much oil and founded cheese to mask the lack of flavor.
OverAll experience: I would send the spanish armada to bomb the place ans stop giving spanish food and people a bad name.

Fine place, nice atmosphere and great jamon. Good quality/price ratio. BTW I must say "pata negra" jamon really is something else... back home I googled and found they ship to the UK, and even have a 13 lb. jamon for 1,150 euro !! dang, must be good...

It's a great place. We have been going there for years and have always had a great time. You are served by Spanish speaking waiters and waitresses. The food and atmosphere is typically Spanish. They have improved their bread. You should try it, you won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, very lively, very authentic and with spanish speaking waiters. Excellent well priced food. Agree that they could use some imagination regarding the bread.

They really need to improve their bread - it would make all the difference to not be served ready to bake rolls. Otherwise it is a nice atmosphere.
