We ate at this restaurant lastnight and it was absolutely fantastic! Everything from the food itself, the atmosphere, service and interior design was excellent. We will definately go again. I just hope this place gets the custom as it is perhaps not in the best location for a good quality restaurant. We can recommend the green chicken curry, and the sea bass. Everything is served in funky bowls. Loved it and will definately be recommending it to people!

We ate here on Friday 3 December having recently returned from a honeymoon in Malaysia and hopefully from the menu that we'd enjoy some of the delicious dishes we had tried there. While the food was ok in my view the Malaysian dishes wedre ordered for main course were far from authentic. Overall the flavour of the food was ok but we both found the main course portions very stingy, especially given the prices which while reasonable are certainly not cheap. I rarely order three course at a restaurant as normally I can't finish them all but here I needed too and had no problem clearing my plate!! Beer - they only do bottles of Tiger - was pricey at £3.80 for a 330ml bottle. They were obliging when we ordered tap water though.

Our starters of sushi and fish and crab cakes with chilli sauce were both enjoyable.

Moving to the main course, my husband's beef rendang was very disappointing - more of a coconut-based curry with much more sauce than any of the ones he ate in Malaysia which were authentically dry, tender and fiery. It also contained sweet potato which we hadn't come across before in this dish. My lamb massaman was tasty and having lamb cutlets instead of pieces of lamb was nice in a way. The lamb was well cooked and juicy. It came served with a sweet potato mash which was ok but a bit watery. Both portions were small and left us hungry enough for dessert.

The desserts were both delicious - a high poitn of the meal. The portion sizes were less of an issue. My stem ginger cheesecake appeared homemade and was gorgeous. My husband's fruit pavlova also appeared to be homemade from scratch and was also really good.

Lovely, authentic decor though and the service wasn't bad. When our main courses were delayed due to a large group order getting to the kitchen ahead of ours (bad service)at least the waiter did come to tell us and brought us some extra prawn crackers while we waited (good service!).

In conclusion, we left a bit disappointed and I won't rush back here but might go again if there are any special offers on.
