Cafe Meze
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
Don't be fooled by appearances! Despite being located on the 'traffic island' where Great Portland St tube is located and between some public toilets, Cafe Meze is an ideal cafe where you can eat a freshly made Mediterranean meal or traditional English fry-ups – the interior is clean, bright, informal and friendly.
Service is always friendly, although at busy times it can be a little slow; everything is made to order and the kitchen, which is in full view, is only medium-sized. They do a fresh salad buffet and many different wraps including falafel and meat fillings; burgers, chips, toasted and grilled specialties and so on. The usual lunchtime sandwiches are available too. I visit regularly as it's good value for the area, and delicious.
