As a local living in the area we have at least three other Indian restaurants to choose from and all are good, but The Stag was very good.

We have been there twice. Once with friends for a meal and once to get a take away. The food is tasty and the decor of the restaurant works.

Always seems a little quiet, but I guess curry is something we Brits tend to eat later!

Worth a visit, worth the money. Enjoyed it!

A restaurant to be recomended to everyone. Tantalising food and an excellent service!!! The perfect place to spend a evening with your family. I decided to go to the restaurant after a friend recommended it to me. I took my family for my daughter's birthday and had a briliiant time and credit is due to the timely service and smiles from staff.

Located on the corner of a quite (but serene) Westbridge Road,

the Stag is an Indian food outlet which caters for the needs if all types of

curry lovers. Although not the most accessible venue I have been to, the

food, however, more than adequately made up for the shortfalls in the

location - particularly the Chicken Jalfrezi (yum yum) and the King Prawn Puri (double yum yum).

Prices are affordable and the small but friendly staff team accomodated

our every needs. We (the big group of loud-mouthed birthday party crew)

were served swiftly upon arriving, the food was delivered on time and the

fantastic thing was we were left to enjoy the delicious tastes of the

Stag (I don't know about you guys but I absolutely DO NOT like it when a

waiter/waitress feels the need to keep asking if everything is okay - if

I am not enjoying something I'll be quick to make a comment).

My last comments - Fantastic food and great service! The location is a

little inaccessible, but they do serve the best curry in Battersea and

definitely worth a visit.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are friendly and not over bearing. The quality of the food is exceptional definitely one restaurant I will be going to time and time again.

The interior is modern and stylish the perfect setting for a romantic meal or just a night out with friends (having done both) it caters for the groups with efficiency.

The menu caters nicely for all tastes (including vegetarians) and the food always tastes freshly made and of a high quality. I had the paneer and absolutely loved it. The meat dishes are amazing and I have enjoyed eating here every time I have been. The portions are a good size and when the bill came it was a pleasant surprise to be paying 30 pounds for a meal with wine and 3 courses!

I would recommend this restaurant highly and am sure it wont disappoint!

We dined at The Stag last Saturday night; what a great find! The food was absolutely wonderful - we all agreed we had not had a better Indian meal outside of India!

Having found The Stag on the Taste London website, I booked by e-mail and received a swift and polite response in confirmation. Heaven only knows why this delightful restaurant was not packed to the gunnels on Saturday night - perhaps it is the location, which is a little out of the way, but by no means awkward - but despite a clean, attractive and tastefully furnished interior, we were one of only three full tables. On questioning, the waiter answered that Friday and Sunday are their busiest nights.

The wine list was limited but reasonably priced, with a Gewürztraminer which complemented the food perfectly. Service was perhaps a touch slapdash considering there were so few customers, but all the staff were extremely personable and helpful.

The food, however, was exceptional. The King Prawn Puri and the Chicken Chaat were so delicious our companions insisted we share theirs, and my tandoori chicken was fantastically tender. We ordered far too much for our main courses, but nothing was disappointing, and we did a creditable job of polishing most of it off.

The bill, even without the discount we gained from our Taste London, was less than £30 each, after poppadoms, three courses, wine and beer.

We will definitely going back!

we are now regulars at the Stag Indian - since coming to the area I believe they have gained quite a fan base and rightly so, the food is always fantastic - the service execellent, perfect balance not too slow you are wondering where the food is and not so fast that you are feeling rushed.

We love the Chicken Saag, Chicken Biriyani and Peshwari nan.

The management are top and always open to suggestions, we have had many take aways as well and all our friends want to order in from them whenever they come round (what does that say about my cooking!! lol)

Seriously a hidden gem in Battersea, make the trip there its so worth it and only 10 minutes max walk from Battersea Bridge road.

I also never write reviews but felt that I must recommend this restaurant.

I am a regular at the Stag and it is quite simply the best Indian restaurant in the area. The food is value for money and it is of the highest quality.

It is a little bit off the beatend track but well worth a visit!

I've been a few times now and what i really love about The Stag, is the menu - there are some dishes there that you just don't find in other Indian restaurants, and that makes it a unique experience.

The quality of the ingrediants and the cooking itself is also first class. And the staff are always really polite and helpful.

All in all a hidden gem!
