We went there last night, for the first time (we've been living in the area for 5 years). Very good food: a nice tomato soup, standard but no complaints nachos, above average fish and chips and a very good vegetarian dish; in short, good pub fare. Prices could be slightly lower (the above, and 2 cups of tea, cost us £35), but again, given the good quality no complaints. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The guy behind the bar seems to have an attitude problem, but that may be due to his intelligence, and in such cases it suffices to straighten the other party's back a bit.

We will go back with pleasure, without rush however.

I used to love this pub..beautiful location, lovely design, not bad food, staff not over friendly, but helpful.. until my last visit in August...

OMG... how can you recruit someone with sooooo little customer skills??? the waitress was rude, noisy and....kind of hurricane. She was trying to do her job too fast, collecting all dirty plates and empty bottles in the same time...hmm... not all of them were empty, but she didn't bother. When she dropped one bottle on the table me and my friend jumped, because of the noise and we only heard " don't worry love, it won't break". The waitress also noticed that we haven't finished the bottle of wine and was trying to convince me to finish is or take it home : "I will drink it all or take it home, what a waste"

The food was also not the best... my steak was burned and bitter in taste, the shredded duck in my friend's salad was dry and tasted more like processed tuna.

I feel that the service has dramatically dropped since my first visit. The is a lot of new staff on the floor, without being properly trained and this is having effect on your regular customers.

Fairly large pub on the riverside, great views from the balcony upstairs and garden.

Food is great but can be around half an hour wait on Sundays due to the amount of people. Can't speak for the whole menu, but we thought the fajitas were good as well as the fish and chips.

The place is very big and having worked in resteraunts before, I know how hard it is to work somewhere like this when it's busy.

Pigeons are annoying in the garden, they seemed to be at plates the second people left, but if you leave half your plate outside it's going to attract attention isn't it.

Overall we think it's a great place, worth checking out.

My girlfriend and I think that the carvery here is quite fantastic, and we often came here on Sundays to load up our plates when she lived in the area. Great food and great value for money, in my opinion. The live music is only a bonus and often quite fun. Also, our dogs were allowed in at the manager's discretion which is also very helpful. They gave him a bone once! There are nice views over the river too over the outdoor balcony. I am totally unconnected with the restaurant but if they want to get in contact and offer a free carvery meal for me and my girlfriend, we'll happily make the journey back from SW London to have it!!!

Wow amazing location at first i was quite excited...then after waiting for about ten minutes at the bar i was talked to in a very rude fashion by a member of of staff who seemed a bit unfriendly to say the least. After waiting 20 minutes for my burger, it was cold and not cooked very well so it had to be sent back to the kitchen. When it came back it had obviously been microwaved and was basically unedible. I asked quite politely for a refund but was refused. to be fair the manger on duty was reasonable but i would never eat in this pub again ever..shame as it has a nice location but rubbish food and unhelpful staff..give this one a miss and head further down the river to Greenwich is my advice!!

Any positive reviews written about this place are without a doubt written by the management. The atmosphere is stale, the tables are dirty and the bar staff are rude and slow. The food is OK, which makes it the best thing about the place.

Don't go; the view from the riverside terrace is brilliant, but tainted by the copious amount of pigeons attracted by the uncleared plates left piled on tables.

Just had a Sunday meal here with my Girlfriend and my family.....Where the heck do I start? It is the third time I've been here and each time its been let down by something...be it bar staff who can't keep an eye on who's next at a busy bar, cold food, food not available, food available but not cooked by the chef, instead microwaved by the head waiter etc

I thought this time round it might be okay....it wasn't! This time was a classic let down...Ordered our food, received just one of our mains about 5 minutes afterwards (before our starter) then our starter wasn't available so we had to order a different more expensive starter, despite having already paid for the original starter. Then when our mains and starter did arrive, they were in fairness averagely tasty...however when I mentioned the price descrepency between the starters and asked for that to be refunded....the manager had to be called and I had to endure her tutting and sighing, whilst i filled out a refund form to rectify a mistake that they had made in the first place.

A truly appalling service in a pub that seems to simply rely on the fact the are on the river and fairly spacious. I will not be heading back, and it's only the lack of other pubs and restaurants nearby, that I think this place still keeps going.

I have been there already three times. The first time, the food really good. The second and third time, I had to wait for an hour to get my food. I have even called them before I went there and ask for the waiting time - they told me 20 min... Wasn't quite accurate. The bar staff is slow and unfriendly. The restaurant itself is nice. Great view.
