The thing I hate most is chefs who can’t spell correctly the ingredients in their menu.
Foie gras, not "oie grass", and just for that I think I rather go somewhere else thank you.

I went to The Guildford for Sunday lunch last weekend, and whilst the food was lovely and the atmosphere very nice, I don't think I have ever had to wait so long for a meal!
We arrived at 2pm and were seated on the terrace. Despite ordering fairly quickly, we waited over an hour for our starters to arrive. They were delicious, but the delight was short lived as we then had to wait for over an hour again for the main course!
We moved inside to order dessert and coffees, and you guessed it, they took over an hour to arrive! We complained to the manager who was very charming, but simply said that although they were short staffed, it was actually 'normal' on a sunday (when they were serving food in the restaurant, on the terrace and in the garden') to take that long. I'm afraid I disagree! If they can't manage to serve all three areas properly, they shouldn't use them all! To top it off we had to wait even longer for the bill, as their computer was playing up.
If they had offered us a complimentary coffee, or even bothered to check on our table during the long waits (trying to order a drink between each course was really quite painful!), we would probably go back to give The Guildford another shot as the food was great. Unfortunately they seemed to think it was ok to take 4 hours to serve 3 courses. I'm all for a lazy sunday lunch but this was really quite ridiculous.
