I have eaten here a couple of times and the food has always been excellent, a bit over-priced for a pub but on the whole very nice.
However, the service is terrible! Would it really hurt the barman to raise a smile? Oh and as the previous reviewer mentioned, service charge on pub food? Don't make me laugh.

Food is vastly over-priced, the clue is that it's generally empty because of it. Also, don't get stung by 'service charges' this place is a PUB selling food, it isn't a restaurant. The idea of charging service in a PUB when having a meal for TWO is obsurd. Especially when all food is so freakin' expensive in the first place.
Walk down the road for a better meal, in a restaurant, at less than half the price, without the service charge.
