went w/a group of friends...fantastic staff, food and atmosphere. easily best staff in the area! couldn't recommend enough!

I went for dinner with a friend last night. We hadn't seen each other for ages and the atmosphere, with the low music, candles and unobtrusive but attentive service, was perfect for a good catch up. We had a great bottle of wine which was recommended to us by the manager who really knew his stuff - it was a malbec from Patagonia and we would never have chosen it without help. It was very reasonable too - it's a big list so you can choose something at every price depending on how much you want to spend.

The food was delicious...way better than we thought it would be. We had a fabulous chicken liver parfait which was as good as any I've had. The lamb we had for main course was sourced in Wales and full of flavour and the risotto, which so many places get wrong, was perfectly cooked with plump, crunchy asparagus.

I have no idea how we found room for dessert but the creme brulee was to hard to resist and it didn't disappoint. Coffee was good too.

All in all, a wonderful evening. I can't wait to go back!

I recently had dinner here with my partner, who works nearby and we were pleasantly surprised by the charm of this place. It is intimate and friendly, and we loved the atmosphere downstairs with candles on the tables. Staff were good and attentive, and the lamb on the specials menu was excellent. Really good wine too. Would definitely go back with friends.
