A hidden gem in North London, best Indian restaurant for miles, definitely worth trying out for the fantastic selection of freshly made dishes and it's great for vegetarians as well. Whether you like North or South Indian food, you'll adore the variety here and parking is available right outside its door. I'm never disappointed!

If you are for quality food, La Kera is the place to go. It has such a fresh and inspiring flavours in its dishes, so different from the usual curry houses. The menu looks by itself with good choices and there is always specials to add to the exquisiteness it exerts. Its delicious starters rejuvinates the senses and takes you to the beautiful natural aura of Kerala.

My wife has a colleague who went to La Kera for lunch several years ago, and he gave her a card for the restaurant as he enjoyed it so much. We visited La Kera the same week some three years ago, and we were not disappointed; and since then it is the only Indian restaurant within the UK that we will frequent. As you enter one receives a very warm sincere welcome with huge smiles which make you feel extremely comfortable.

The food – no matter what you choose the dish will have an explosion of fabulous fused flavours that keep you coming back for more. For example many people do not enjoy squid because they claim it is too rubbery. At La Kera their quid (Koonthal) starter is absolutely amazing just the presentation together with the aroma has an avalanche of flavours and your mouth waters before your fork pierces the first morsel.

The Masala Dosa is such an incredible dish one has to taste it to fully experience the fusion of spices, potato within a crispy outer shell. Words cannot do it justice.

They also offer biryanis, which are not oily of greasy. The King Fish or King Prawn Biryani is infused with such flavours with each bite your eyes close which enhances the experience. (La Kera also offers meat based biryanis, which I understand are just as wonderful, with tenderness and flavours).

Because of La Kera we decided to visit the state of Kerala in Southern India. From my experience the food was exactly the same – AMAZING, which mean that La Kera is 100% authentic.

I would invite any and all to experience La Kera. The food is spectacular, the service is warm and sincere, the atmosphere is comfortable with the back drop being the open kitchen, value of money – definitely I would gladly pay more.

Sincerely
