London Jade Garden

Jade Garden was a place that Chinese families went for dinner...about 25 years ago, this place has deteriorated so much I think it now holds the crown for being the restaurant with the worst service (beating Wong Kee) and most overated food in Chinatown.
Dim sum during the day is good, but the service is rushed, they just want you out the restaurant and blatantly show it. Dinner here is awful, the food is really bad overpriced swill. But its the service that takes the biscuit, I call it chinese waiter syndrome - waiters so bored of their jobs that the take it out on the customers for their entertainment. All your fave characters are here, the frustrated old waitress, the miserable complusive gambler and of course a relative/owner who stands by and ignores the blatant problems because its just about the cash in the end. V nasty bunch of staff and yes they do really throw the plates down at you.
This restuarant is a disgrace. Avoid at all costs.

I like their dim sums very much. Good taste, good value. There are always people queueing outside during lunch time. Dinner's a bit expensive. The shortcoming is the service. Some waitresses are terribly rude. Just throw dishes on your table and keep a poker face anytime.

Dim sum was ok. The spicy soup dumplings, weren't as spicy as I remember. But the rest was fine, nothing amazing. And the service wasn't great. The waitress seemed a bit obessesed with constantly checking our teapot, coming over several times. Don't think I would recommend it anymore, quality seems to have deteriorated.

Every time I go there it's for the Dim Sum and they are probably one of the best in London. The service is not the most pleasant but the place is very, very busy as well.
