Have been craving good Mexican for some time now, so I took the bait and went in to give it a try as the reviews seemed very positive.

Well I'm delighted to say that I wasn't disappointed, good food, at a good price, What more could you want.

Brilliant! I love this place. Cheap, tasty, healthy and quick - perfect for a quick dinner or lunch. It is right near my office, so I tend to go at lunch time.

I have not tried everything on the menu, but I can say the pork tacos are amazing. The salsa verde is wonderful, and they have pinto beans if you prefer those over black.

Tried this first time last night.

Whilst the term restaurant is overstating it a bit - its effectively a take-out place with bench seating & alcohol licence - I can't fault the food, service or value for money. Your food is prepared in front of you, and you have a large degree of control over what goes in your wrap.

If this place isn't part of a franchise operation it certainly should be considered as the start of one cos I think its a great idea, well executed in all respects.

I'll definitely be going back, especially as my old Mexican restaurant haunts appear to have gone downhill very badly in recent years.

I'm sure you've heard it all before. "Oh, there's a great Mexican restaurant in [insert location here]. You should try it!" So you go, full of hope, hankering for some good nosh -- then you leave feeling like you've somehow been the victim of a culinary assault. It's okay though. Tortilla is here to help you hug it out. Tortilla a tiny, fast-food-esque place directly across from Angel, and specializes in the simple, inexpensive Mexican food that I came to know and love back in the States. The kind you'd get after a long night on the sauce, cradling it in your arms like a foil-wrapped infant. I had the lush grilled steak burrito with everything, doused with Cholula hot sauce at the table. I may have to swing by for the braised pork on my way home. Well worth a drop in if you're in the area... hell, it's worth the trip from damn near anywhere.

Its such a relief to have found a real, proper burrito in London - Tortilla has really got it right. The guac was perfect, the salsa fresh and nice and spicy (!) but lovely beers and even a margarita to wash it down. Just like I remember on my visit to California. It was the perfect thing before we went out that night - we were well full, felt good about the fact that we didn't eat rubbish, with the food under a fiver. Drinks were extra of course, but who could resist the margarita?

been off mexican after a couple of shockers - this place has restored my faith ! The tortillas are fresh and super tasty, if you are in the area you must get yourself in there

We spotted Tortilla on our way to Bar Academy and for the first time in years, decided to risk Mexican place again (had really bad experiences a few years ago). The queue was long enough so it had to be ok, right?

My husband and I both had large burritos - they were were huge, with fresh chicken, yummy rice and beans. We finished everything, although the margarita turned out to be bigger than expected - had a little trouble finishing that.

Staff were friendly, and place was clean and welcoming, and I would definitely come back, esp to try the tacos. Can't wait till the churros come in, that would have round off the meal nicely.
