I love The Grove! It is one of my favorite spots in West London. The best thing about The Grove, apart from amazing food! it is if you are having a drink with you mates or romantic dinner with one of those "mates" - it never lets you down. As my special mate love to have Groves famous steak, I am more of the "vegetarian" person, I love to go for a Sea Bass or some other fresh fish...I spoke to one of The Groves chefs the other day, and Yes the menu changes twice a day, so I promise you-the food is always fresh!
The Grove used to have Live music night which I am hoping they will return it, but at the moment I am quite happy with Comedy Nights in the upstairs room. What else to add, great atmosphere, great food and laughter is the perfect combination on a rainy Sunday night in London!

To say that I had a great night, would be an understatement of a life time!!!
We were greeted with exceptional warmth by professional staff, who made us feel as if were at their home rather than a pub.
The starter that I myself had( chicken livers-was exceptional, fresh and absolutley delightful).
Even though on a diet, I could not resist the seafood pasta, and I have no regrets about it.
It goes without saying that I strongly recommend this venue, either as an after work snack and drin, but the ambience is so classy that I would not think twice of having a professional or descreet dinner there.
To live in London, and not to experience this pub, you might as well not live in this great city.

I rarely eat Cod as I find it a bit blunt. After choosing a 'warm salad of chicken livers, chorizo, cherry tomato and raspberry jus' which I found remarkably appetising I ordered a portion of Cod with roasted Mediterranean veg, cassava, avocado and wild rocket just to see how they do it. It was an amazing experience. It was just perfectly cooked, notably moistly and deliciously succulent. I didn't need a knife just a fork and moistly lamps of cod would just peel off the crusty skin. Perfectly cooked cassava is much tastier and crunchier than potato, but combination of ample roasted veg and wild rocket salad in some kind of sun dried tomato dressing was a Revealing Experience. The meal was plentiful and I couldn't squeeze in a dessert which looked visually appetising and yet I felt light. I topped my meal up with deliciously crisp and aromatic Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. What an experience. Can't wait to return to The Grove.

I go to the Grove quite often - I have no other connection with it. The previous review is very strange - for example, I have never seen lasagne on the menu there - ever. Also, the kitchen is entirely open and if you sit close to it you can see everything that is going on - I have never even seen a microwave in there, let alone seen or heard one being used. Oh, and by the way, if you leave somthing in the microwave too long it doesn't "burn round the edges". I would also disagree that the wine list is overpriced - house wine at sub-£15 and plenty in the £15-£20 bracket is not too bad for the area. Looking at the ridiculously low scores assigned for what was a mixed review makes me think there is more going on than a straightforward review.

After several recommendations I took a business client there. The place was empty for a Friday lunchtime - never a good sign! Service was prompt & pleasant. I opted for Chicken livers, with rocket and chorizo for starters and this being the first time I tried them - they were delicious. For main, I decided on the Lasagne. A generous portion arrived with plenty of un-dressed and dried salad leaves. The lasagne itself was obviously microwaved - dry and burnt on the edges and the filling was bland and disappointing.
The wine was over-priced and not value for money. I didn't complain as I had a client with me, but without him - I wouldn't have paid for the main. A let down as I was planning on using this as a regular place to bring clients too as I work nearby - but I definitely won't be returning.
