Costa Dorada Spanish Bar & Restaurant

I work for the NHS and have a very stressful job i went to the tapas bar on friday night with a couple of mates great night out plus a bonus food was great.

This place makes you feel like you are in the middle of Spain! Really amazing experience. Cuisine is most probably better than in any other Spanish restaurant out of Spain! I went there last weekend as it was my friends birthday and we had unforgettable night. Staff is amazing, wine range is very big, cocktails were lovely and show is really something special. The biggest surprise was party that begun with the last clap of flamenco performers. DJ turned this traditional restaurant in to a club in a matter of minutes and everybody started to dance. I would recommend this place to everyone who like Spanish food, cocktails and dancing. Amazing!!! From me you got 10/10

We went to Costa Dorada a few weeks back because we were in the mood for some tapas and wine and left quite dissapointed. Food wasn't that bad but what the hell is up with that 12.5 service charge, and most of all, charging 1.50 for a little tray of bread that the waiter brought without us ordering it and never told us it would be charged, that is sooooo wrong being that in most decent restaurants the bread is complimentary! The portions in the tapas were really small and when we wanted to pay NONE of the waiters were around, all were at a little bar in the back and we almost had to scream for them to notice that we were waiting.

Seriously, no wonder this place was empty.

NEVER GOING BACK!

I've been here twice and the service and food were excellent, although there was no one else in there. I actually love the place - I assume that the people who had bad experiences went there when it was very busy and I wouldn't be surprised if it was short staffed (which is no excuse). However I'd hate to see this place lose out as it has a lot of character. It's a really good alternative option in the area.

And no I don't work for them! - as I said I wouldn't be surprised if the service let's you down at busier times.

Also, If you're a stickler for toilet cleanliness then best to avoid Hanway Street altogether..

This place is gorgeous. Cocktails are much better than before. Thank god that barman from before is not there anymore. Food is very good i even think the food is better in past couple of months than before. Flamenco show was amazing! I would recommend this to everyone for a crazy night out or maybe only for a family dinner as i was many times here with my friends and as well a couple of times i had nice lunch with my family. All the best!!!!!!!

I was there this weekend and most weekends and i love it!!!!!!!!!

The food is great and the staff are very friendly, the manager is so funny.

My advise is try before you judge you might be pleasantly surprised...i was x

bad bad bad

-greasy food

-bad presentation

-unexperienced staff

a full disgrace as a restaurant 4 pounds for a warm beer and a compulsory service charge the manager is very rude music so loud and well toilets are in very bad condition if you think about to organize a party do not go to this place they are better and cheaper venues we will never go back thanks for nothing very poor job

I do not know how this restaurant has recieved good reviews for service as I found the service utterly appalling in every sense and this ruined our whole evening staff or friends looks like write this reviews

The place is not really as clean as it should be I think its going down i use to go there long time ago it wast that bad all the dishes were very poorly cooked food taste like a microwave

it took ages to order our food sangria is expensive and full of ice no many spirits,staff are arrogant the owner is very rude and unpolite (the guy shouting at the staff at all times)

toilets are very very dirty !!! even the music is not nice at all really loud not a place to go

Definately not recommended!!!!!

i have been in costa dorada last night and unfortunatly i have and argument whit the barman a very rude and umprofesional guy we spending a fortune and .... well ill never go back to this place ever as i dont recomended to anyone bad staff and i dont have a words for the manager PLACE TO AVOID
