I found to the food to be very tasty overall however, I was dissapointed with the starters. We ordered the afghani chicken, chops and mushrooms and although tatsy, I was left wanting more as the portions were tiny compared to other indian eateries.
BUT - all was redeemed when the main course arrived!!!! We had pepper lamb, chicken sagwalla, goan fish curry and the tastiest dal I have ever had (sorry mum!!!)
Service was friendly but could have been a tad bit more attentive - that said, I would definitely go back again...

My Girlfriend and I are big fans of Indian food having been spoiled when we travelled in India, however exposure to very so-so repetitively similar dishes in the UK means I rarely find Indian food in London to be such a treat.
Bombay Nights is quite simply exceptional in terms of quality of food, flavour and the service provided by knowledgeable friendly staff. The chef is from Goa and can create anything you desire, even off the menu.
Definitely recommended, and most certainly the best Indian restaurant we have experienced in this country.

We booked for a Wednesday evening and arrived at 9 pm to find about 14 dining. Most of the diners were in the 40s and 50s age range and clearly quite well to do and wanting somewhere a bit above average.
The restaurant is simply and tastefully decorated based on a maroon theme with solid tables and chairs and proper linen napkins.
The service is quiet but efficient and quite professional. We seemed to get no special attention even though they knew we were likely to write a review.
The starters were slightly smallish but very tastfully presented and would have pleased most TV chefs.
The main courses were tasty and again nicely presented but the sauces for the chicken and cauli both looked the same and looked and tasted like the bottled ones we have at home (?)
The bill was £1.30 more than the menu and when we queried it were told the menu had a mistake! After a small delay we were told we could pay £1 less !
No one will be disappointed here if you have a good drink, ( house red £11 ), but the food seemed a little formulaic and might not satisfy a real indian food gourmet.

My lovely lady and I loved Vhujon and ate there regularly, we were upset when they told us they were closing down, although we knew that another Indian Restaurant was going to take over the premises.
I think we actually wanted to hate the food at Bombay Nights - but couldn't, our first meal was Chicken Tikka Masala and boy that was hotter than normal (calmed down now, if you like it hot ask for Goan-style) it was so good that Sue couldn't stop laughing (better than crying don't you agree?).
We are now regulars at Bombay Nights (although as we have split on seperate nights) and would recommend to anyone, they are quite quiet in the Restaurant at present as they only opened in November and unfortunately missed Curry Week. This means that you should be able to get a table without booking (phone nearer Christmas though to avoid disappointment) they are Child Friendly so you may not need a baby-sitter and the food is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious.
Good news if they are fully booked - delicious take-aways and free deliveries are also available.
