If you're looking at the other reviews and wondering if this place is worth a visit then let me advise you not to bother.
The service, setting and prices are comparable to other Thai restaurants in London, and I have no complaints regarding these. Unfortunately, the food was of a poor standard. It is fairly bland and portions are small. I don't know how others can rate this place as having some of the best food this side of Bangkok!! They obviously have few tastebuds! You'd be better off travelling further East to the Thai in Leyonstone.

I went here with my girlfriend last week. The decor was quite nice, as were the waitresses.
We ordered a starter platter, which was quite decent. My girlfriend ordered a salad which was the price of a main but the size of a starter.
All up we had the starter platter, 2 mains, rice & 3 glasses of drink. All up it was over £50, which we thought was quite pricey given the portions were small and we were still hungry.

Went in for lunch last week, what's a surprise!? Thai Room has got a nice decor, clean and bright atmosphere with a free parking right at the back. The set lunch meal for 7.95 wasn't too bad, with a good selection of starters and main dishes to choose from. I quite enjoyed with my meal so did try to order a delivery yesterday from them. They seemed busy as I was put on hold quite awhile. However, the delivery guy was polite and the main thing is food which was as tasty. Would recommend.

My husband and I had a meal here recently before going to Jongleurs which is right next door. We both agreed the food was bland - the 'massaman' curry was no such thing, just stringy lamb in a red thai curry sauce which tasted as if it was straight out of a (cheap) jar. It wasn't a particulary warm day but large window was wide open and the place was freezing. If you want good food rather than fancy decor then forget this overpriced place and go to the Prig Thai Cafe in Longbridge Rd, Barking. You can take in your own booze, the food is fantastic and they could certainly teach some much more expensive places how to cook a massaman!

I just had a chance to visit Thai Room with my man and I can say it's really a secret gem in East London! The best Thai restaurant ever with tasty foods and friendly staff, though the price is a little pricey. It's definitely worth to go. With the candle-lighted atmosphere, it's a very perfect place to go with your love one. The funny thing is they're not known by people, strange!

I went to this restaurant recently and I have to say that my worst Thai experience ever. Food was absolutely tasteless, there is probably more taste in a celery stick. Both, the starter and the main course was equally bland. I think the best thing out of this meal was a sweet that you get with your bill. Ohh, and food is definitely overpriced. Honestly, save yourself and choose a different place. I can recommend Rama Thai Restaurant in Stepney Green (E1 4LJ), you won’t be disappointed!

Certainly one of the best Thai restaurants I have eaten in. Good quality ingredients, friendly staff and priced well.
2 people, 2 courses each and a bottle of wine you can walk out the door after spening £50.00.
Definatle worth eating in this Thai restaurant.

I eat here regularly & am a slave to their delivery service! Some of the best Thai food this side of Bangkok. Extensive menu, with good choices for vegetarians. Pretty good wines available too for a Thai restaurant. The food is always amazing & the staff are attentive & helpful. I would be lost without this place. Highly recommend.

I must say that Thai Room is one of the best Thai restaurant in the east end. As I am Thai, i can gladly say that Thai Room provides a wonderful authentic taste of Thai food. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is terrific and it's worth going in for a meal. The takeaway is just as good!

I have recently moved from the area and have to say how much I miss the Thai Room both for eating in and for the deliveries as well. The food is lovely and never disappoints, the staff are friendly and the prices are fair. Although there are many lovely dishes my particular favourite is the gang ped yang - duck red curry - delicious! Defnitely worth a visit.
