Golden Pagoda Chinese Restaurant

Not very keen on this place. Looks good from the outside - but the food is very mediocre. Being 1/2 chinese, I know a bit about this. The sauces seem to be very gelatinous and strong. Possibly for the euro market as opposed to authentic. The service when we went - was also very slow. We had to constantly call over the waiters, to get an order, to top up our tea pot, to clear our plates.
There are better in the street.

excellent dim sum. I had prawn dumplings (amazing), shanghai dumplings and chili and black bean ribs (very generous helping) and a pot of tea. The whole thing came to £9 and the service was excellent and friendly

Value for money for food, helpfull staff, but unfortunately alcoholic drinks were a tad on the high side. But the prices of drinks were probably typical of all the restaurants in China Town.
