Fantastic does not come close to describing the service and atmosphere at this restaurant!

A section was organised in the restaurant for our office party at very short notice to the restaurant and they rose to the challenge and catered for each individual need without any problems. The coordination of service is fantastic. The staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly, the food was fresh and well cooked and the taste was just superb.

If i lived near the restaurant, i would definitely bring my family and friends regularly as the environment is warm, comfortable and inviting.

What more can i say other than this is a fantastic place to eat and drink and celebrate any occasion. Well done to manager and staff of Meson Los Barriles for all their splendid service and for looking after everyone on the day and on behalf of all of them i'd like to say a big thank you.

I stumbled across this restaurant by chance and have to say I was most impressed. Their sangria is served in huge glasses with lots of fresh fruit and it was definitely the best I've tasted anywhere in a long time.

I was pleased with the extensive fresh fish selection on the menu and was not disappointed when it arrived. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our food.

The owner was most entertaining and recommended a good choice of tapas for us to try. I will definitely back for the sangria and the delightful food!

Lovely! Lovely! Lovely!

Fresh food! And you can see what your having before you order it from the glass cabinet!!!!!!! I am one extremely happy customer guys!! Cant wait to come back!! Will hopefully be back in London in September and will deffo be paying you a visit.

To the sad man who reviewed Meson Los Barriles (Sunday July 8th)and was so pityful as not to put his name to his review.

I for one am glad that he disliked all that is good at this exciting, friendly,value for money tapas restaurant in Goswell Road,with luck we will never see him at this or any other restaurant in London. It appears he knows much about Benedorm and poor quality hotels I wonder where he takes his holidays. Viva Espania

Absolutely love this place, always buzzing, food is great and the regulars add to the quirkiness of this restaurant. I would recommend this establishment to all and sundry for winding down after a day at work or for a fine meal and even finer wine.

Granted it may not be the quietest restaurant in town, but a Tapas bar never is!

I have been going to Meson Los Barriles for many years now and am surprised by one or two of the reviews written here. I think maybe they have the wrong restaurant.

I have never had anything but excellent service, fantastic food and great value for money. Never had cause for complaint. What more can you ask for. Keep it coming.

Good food, authentic atmosphere, very nice Spanish speaking staff but the manager is a cross between Basil Fawlty and Wayne Slob. Definitely the rudest restauranteur in London. When basic mistakes are made by the staff, usually a result of the language problem, he always blames the customer. I have even seen him revving his 4 by 4 in anger outside as people left. He also has a serious working class chip on his shoulder and hates anyone in the least bit bourgeois. Shame then that both his restaurants are in the most gentrified parts of the East End, Clerkenwell and Spitalfields, perhaps he would be happier in Torremolinos and Benidorm. Go there if you want to be part of a comedy sketch

We needed a restaurant close to the Barbicon Centre, so we gave this a try and were not disapppointed. We got good food and wine for good value. I must confess, tapas aren't my favorite food -- too often it's something overcooked under a non-descript tomato sauce, lying beneath too much melted cheese. Nonetheless, this is a friendly, somewhat noisy place with a house red that goes down easily. Would definitely go back.

I have been to Meson Los Barriles on the Goswell Road many many times and have always found the food wonderful. The atmosphere is brilliant and the staff always make you welcome and tend to your every need. I can honestly say that I have never eaten anything that has tasted like it has come out of a can. Everything there is prepared on the premises and is tip top. Certainly would recommend anyone who has never been to definitely go there, they will not be disappointed.

The restaurant had a lovely vibe and the staff were friendly, however the food was absolutely dreadful. most dishes tasted that they had been reheated in a microwave, nothing tasted fresh, mushrooms were straight from a can, and some of the dishes tasted like they had just poured a cook in sauce over them minutes before serving..the waiters looked embarassed to serve it.

there are so many better place to eat in the area, if you really fancy good tapas, look elsewhere.
