La Forchetta

i have lived in bethnal green for almost two years now, and have found an italian place which really does serve good italian food.

the service was polite and prompt, the atmosphere within the place was great, a real buzz.

I could tell that many of the people in La Forchetta, had been their before, so that is always a good sign.

i have been going to this restaurant for over a year, and i have yet to experience anything bad.

Try it you will love it.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant after visiting an italian bearing the same name in Angel. This one in Bethnal Green is much better than its namesake, and we frequent it at least once a month now. Fantastic pizzas with properly thin, Italian base. Wide range of starters including calamari and the traditional pizza-like garlic bread. The pastas are equally delicious, and I personally recommend the seafood risotto, which has never disappointed me. I haven't tried too many of the main courses (aside from pizzas and pastas), but the garlic king prawns main with buttery risotto rice was one of the best I've ever had. Service is attentive, and they certainly aim to please repeat customers.
