Prezzo (Haymarket)

Went to this restaurant with a couple of friends on a Wednesday night. It was not too busy, but being in theatre-land has a pretty constant stream of diners coming in. The decor and ambience was ok. Food was ok, very much your usual pizza/pasta fare from the Zizzi-Strada-Ask type place. The food was suspiciously quick in coming out of the kitchen but was decent enough so no complaints there.

My issue with the restaurant was the rudeness of the staff. Their attitude was surly and unresponsive for the entire evening, and at times we were treated with actual rudeness (e.g. snatching your credit card from you when you want to pay without a word, being just one example). We felt the whole time that we were being rushed through our meal (constant badgering about whether we were ready to order, at one point we were being asked every 30-35 seconds by various people), and food coming quickly, then hovering over the table to take the plates while we were still eating. Overall, the food was good value but I wouldn't go back because of the poor service.
