Prezzo(South Woodford)

Very attractive interior - great staff - unfortunately let down by poor food. Having ordered our mains we were amazed to see them turn up within 5 minutes. How can you cook risotto in 5 minutes? Get the impression that everyting is pre-prepared and then reheated. As a result it all tasted microwaved and unpleasant.

Staff are very good - but there's nothing they can do about the dire food.

Went there last night and had a beautiful meal. Great menu and chicken with gorgonzola was fantastic. Service was excellent and they cant do enough to help you enjoy the experience. Excellent value for money also and woul drecommend to anyone who wants a meal in a relaxed setting

7 of us went to Prezzo S. Woodford last evening (25th April). We were very impressed - staff very helpful, food good and very tasteful decor. We would certainly recommend it to others.

Overall- very average-

caaled the restaurant to book- and was told that we couldn't pre-book, only to get there and told that we should have booked a table!!

We waited at the bar for a table to become available for about 40 mins.

The table for 4, was awful. 2 of us were unable to have our legs under the table because it was a garden folding table!!!

We ordered our starters, to find that 1 of them came cold, and the pizza we ordered didn't even have the toppings on that we asked for- even though we repeated them to the waitress!!!!

Overall- very disappointed... wouldn't recommend if looking to impress, just a standard local restaurant!- Shame it couldn't even get the food right!

Had dinner with friends here last night, here's another restaurant following the trend of not taking bookings between 6:30pm to 9:30pm, the customer is expected to turn up and wait for a table. Great for the restaurant but very bad for the customer. In fairness, we waited for only about 20 minutes and a table became available. When we we led to that table we passed 4 other tables without customers. The service was of low quality with the the emphasis on rushing the whole experience, with no or little breaks between courses. At one point the waitress asked if we'd finished while one of my friends was still eating. The design and decor of the basement area create an unpleasant experience with regards to acoustics, the bare walls and vaulted ceilings seem to reflect and amplify the noise and there's no escape. If you're looking for a quiet, unrushed or intimate meal then do yourself a favour and avoid this place. Having said all of that, the food was of a reasonably high standard.

It's great, does what it says on the tin, slightly too expensive for starters, and side bits like most restaurants.

good staff although no one seems to know where Italy is!!! but Budapest is easy....

the building setting is good though. just needs some gentle live music like all restaurants, to give it individuality.

What a load Rubbish...a disgrace to the Italian Community ....it looks really inviting and fancy from the outside ....but looks are very very deceiving.....We arrived and asked for a table and were told it would be no longer that half an hour.....One bottle of wine and Over and Hour Later still no table....when we finally had to make a big scene we got a table and then ordered another bottle of wine and placed our order.....

Ok so now another bottle of wine gone and another hour gone no sign of the starters....I look around and none of the other tables have got any food either and they don't look to impressed either.....all the staff are running around in complete confusion and no one lets you know what's going on with your order.....I ask the manager were is the starters and he goes into a complete panic and runs to the kitchen were I can see the head chef is in a complete state because the restaurant cant handle the amount of orders with such a big seating area and such a small kitchen....we finally got them but my evening was already ruined with all the mental stress caused by not knowing if we were going to get food or not.....basically if you want something you will have to fight for it or you can forget it.....they should have called it the Gladiator Pit......

Its also very very noisy and not at all relaxing at all.....the food was very poor ...pizzas were small and tasteless and the pasta was plain and very stingy on the ingredients..just pasta tomato sauce and nothing that it was stated on the menu....we ordered penne with Buffalo mozzarella but on mozzarella to be seen ...ive had a better ready meal from tesco...and I'm not joking even the tesco finest range is 100 times better that this place.....the total came to £62 for two starters two bottles of wine 1 pizza and 1 pasta.....what a rip off I could have gone and had a seafood platter for to for that money and had a good evening but I was mentally damaged by eating at this dive hole....

I recommend this place for boxers and street fighters who want to get themselves really hyped up before the go out into the ring....because that how I felt when I walked out of there...I felt like smashing something in real bad.....

This place is fancy looking but food atmosphere and quality and value for money is utter rubbish.....

Went to Prezzo for the first time and was very impressed.Food was excellent.Service was very good and meal wasn't overpriced.
