Food is ok - reasonable quality - but the service is definitely not ok.
They very obviously have a policy of trying to make you order more than necessary. We were pushed several times to order extras eg olives, chips, salads etc.
We had popped in for a quick lunch. We asked for 2 small glasses of wine and tap water. We emphasised small. However, the waitress brought 2 large glasses and no tap water and acted surprised when we reminded her that we had asked for small glasses.
Most importantly, the waitress did not show us the lunch time menu with special offers which would have cut our bill down by about a half and would have actually given us more to eat. She placed a large menu in front of us which omitted any mention of the lunch time menu. We only saw it hidden away after we had finished eating. The lunch time menu should have also included a reduced cost small glass of wine which we were being charged full price for. We then noticed the lunch time menu was obscured from view on all the other tables.
We felt the whole experience was lacking in transparency and that the deception was not accidental. There was no manager on site and the waitress in charge did not handle the complaint well. She did finally reduce the price to what is should have been but did so without any charm or grace.
The bottom line is that this is not a restaurant that works hard to provide good customer service so I'll take my custom elsewhere. After all, there is no shortage of similar style (honest) Italian restaurants.
