We had a great night out. Fabulous bar and excellent food. Fine dining its not but really good pizza's and salads and very good prices. The wine list is surprisingly good value and the staff friendly. I can't understand the poor reviews - its fun, good value and great place to hang out. If you want Petrus like food then this isn't it but if you want to have a great night out in a really cool bar then Rocket is the place. I'm going back.

I have dined at Rocket a few times over the past year and have always enjoyed the food and the service has been ok, a little slow at times but still ok.

But over the past month or so I have not been getting as good a standard, flavor or presentation of the food. There seams to be something missing!

When I said something to a friend who used to eat there all the time she told me that the chef had left to live in New Zealand and the food standard had dropped thats why she did not go there any more. I think the manager needs to look in to this as I'm no the only one seeing this it seams.

The service is as mad as ever as I think they must have a problem with staffing as they always seem to be running round like a squirrel looking for its nuts.

The food here is diabolical. They obviously don't care what they sent out. My starter of risotto and pumpkin balls were tough, they tasted more like deep fried stuffing from last year's Christmas dinner, there was no sign of the cheese in them. My main course of roasted sausages on puy lentils was a fair meal and a good portion, but the side order of chips were greasy and waxy. But the best was yet to come, the dessert of baked custard tart arrived, decorated with a string of berries, so someone had obviously looked at the tart at some point, but they hadn't noticed that the filling in the casing had not actually been cooked, it was actually a clear liquid with something floating in it, which I poured into my plate. This was taken away and replaced by a tart with a totally solid centre, which was tasteless and tough. When I pointed out these deficiences all I received was a shrug. Steer clear if you actually like eating.
