A recent discovery in Finsbury park, we've eaten there twice now and it's been consistently excellent. It's now one of our local favourites. The portions are massive, the food authentic, the atmosphere cosy and romantic and the service attentive. It's one of those evenings where going out for an affordable dinner feels special.

What I love about Melbourne, Australia is that fresh, well prepared food is always available at affordable prices in many 'non chain' restaurants. The same simply cannot be said for London where we're overrun by chains, some good some bad and 'good food' is often very expensive served in a pretentious atmosphere.
Petek is one of the few places in London that serves genuinely great food consistantly. I live around the corner and have been countless times. Everyone who's been there loves it, the food is great, it's not expensive and the drinks are also fantastic, even the non alcoholic cocktails - try the 'lollipop' for example - amazing.
I can't recommend Petek enough!

We went here on the recommendation of a friend for my mum's birthday and i have to say it was fantastic. There were 4 of us and we had 4 tapas style starters, the calamari and the meatballs were exceptional. The main courses were all great the lamb shish with yohgurt sauce the pick of the bunch. We also had 3 bottles of the Turkish red wine which was good. The whole meal for 4 with starter mains and 3 bottles of wine £80 which i thought was excellent. Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
