This pub is a real gem opposite Brockwell Park in Herne Hill. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and is really well lit . It serves delicious, well made food. I had the fish pie which was full with haddock and salmon and topped with fluffy mashed potatoes with a side dish of garden peas and shallots. There is a good range of beers, with three cask ales on tap and a good sized wine list with 6 or 7 reds and whites by the glass. I'd recommend it highly.

Our local pub which we have eaten at regularly over the last year. Nice ambience in the dining room and usually decent service. Choice of beers and wine good although the food is variable. The lamb, steak and most other main dishes are excellent but find their burgers tough, lacking any decent flavour and often gristley. Although it aims for the upper end of the gastro spectrum still not sure it delivers value for money,

very expensive, not particularly efficient service and the food really wasn't all that. £15 for roast pigeon which wasn't served with potatoes - i wasn't given the option to order any side dishes at the time.
