Nice decor and friendly staff BUT the food isn't that great. The chips were not cooked to order - they would have been great had they been cooked a little bit more and were properly hot. The 'fresh' lemonade came out of a bought-in plastic jar (i saw it being opened as i stood at the till).
And now for the all important burgers - the so-called 'artisan' buns were dry and too crispy (toasted) - the perfect burger bun is softer and warmer - a ciabatta roll maybe. These GBK buns added nothing except a holding device for the meat and other stuff. The meat WAS ok - not outstanding though.
I had a blue cheese burger and the 'blue cheese' was a yucky, unappetising substance which just dribbled out of the burger as I bit into it - plus it had very little flavour. Given that Peter Gordon is involved in the GBK - it's disappointing - and the burgers do not deserve the title 'gourmet'.
I wouldn't recommend going here especially - it's fine if you're in the area and hungry for a quick bite - but it's not a special experience by any means.

Not really sure what the point of this place is. Cheese burger and chips are the sort of thing you eat as a snack or after a heavy night on the town. This place tries to make burger eating an experience and do not do a great job at it anyway!
Trying to make burger and chips posh is as ridiculous as opening up a chain of fancy and over-priced breakfast cafes.
If you want proper food try the many different types of food from all over the world that London restuarantrs offer; just don not visit an American lard hut!

This branch of GBK delivers just what the brand stands for - casual dining, premium burgers with plenty of variety for a good price.
The delight of this particular visit was their seasonal menu - try the 'vegetable stack'. It's outrageous at 6 inches high, and is absolutely excellent.
