This restaurant is absolutely fantastic and my favourite restaurant in Norbury. The food is freshly cooked when you order it, I have been several times and everything I have eaten has been superb - the tagines and the bastilla are both outstanding - to be honest I think this is some of the nicest Morrocan food in London and I am really pleased it is in Norbury. Worth travelling to considering how close it is to the station.
The service can sometimes be a little slow (but they are cooking your food as you order it so that's not really surprising) and I think the waitor has a bit of trouble with his Englsh but everyone there is exceedingly friendly and willing to help.
The way the restaurant is decorated is also cute, my only criticism being that some of the chairs don't have backs, which although I'm sure is authentic, gets a bit uncomfortable sometimes. Also, I have never had dessert there (the portions are really generous, especially the starters) so I'm not sure how good that is, if it's like the rest of the food then hopefully pretty good.
Please visit and help this restaurant stay open, Norbury deserves to keep a gem like this one, plus i really like going there.

This restaurant is a real find. It’s like a friendly local but with exceptionally high quality food that you’d normally have to leave suburbia for. The chef has incredible attention to detail no doubt instilled in him from his time spent working in Michelin star restaurants. (I’m a regular and so I learnt this while chatting to the head chef and proprietor).
The lamb tangines are succulent and the fish is cooked to perfection. I really recommend the Baba ganoush and briwats starter and the mint tea. It’s great value for money too. The service can be slow but that’s because the chef is such a perfectionist so I can’t say I mind. We once booked out the restaurant for a 30th birthday and the chef cooked us a whole lamb for the occasion. All of the guests were rolling their eyes with delirium at how amazingly tender the lamb was. Go there you won't be disappointed.

we have been recently to the moorish lounge .the welcome was so warm that we felt at home . the food is amazingly delicious i had a chicken and apricot bastilla with lemon , honey and thym sauce . my partner had the rack of lamb with courgette gateau and rosemary jus, the lamb just melted in the mouth . the atmosphere is so relaxing and cosy that you have the feeling of being thrown back in time. Ahmed the chef patron is also a good entairtainer with his drum. it is worth a visit ,try it.
