Having eaten at Nancy Lam’s enak enak only three days ago I can still taste the fantastic flavours of the dishes. The service was very attentive and it had a relaxed feel about it, unlike in most restaurants where they make you feel small by the staff giving you a very uncomfortable and rather impersonal service, the waitresses was very friendly and gave a service which was not overbearing at all. They were courteous and surprisingly helpful without being intrusive to our exquisite meal. Upon entering the restaurant I could see the lovely décor which gives a family feel after being greeted by Nancy’s lovely daughters we were seated opposite a portrait of Nancy which gives an accurate impression of her personality. I have never been to this restaurant before and came across it by accident while looking for a decent place to eat for the night, after learning what the words ‘enak enak’ meant (Yummy Yummy) I was lured into giving it a go. As we admired the menu we were already starting to drool over the idea of the dishes when we were looking at it, what amused us very much was the names of the dishes such as sexy salmon. We ordered Ben’s fantastic mixed satay and we were pleasantly surprised by what we were given. We then tucked into a sizzling beef and Thai green curry where they were cooked beyond perfection. The highlight of the evening was when Nancy came out and started making seemingly practiced jokes and funny insults, she came over and was asking whether we enjoyed the meal, of course she said this after a quick trademarked insult which was quite amusing, i was honoured to have been insulted in such a way, as it was so hilarious with good intention of course.
Overall it was something beyond a meal; something only that could possibly be described as an unforgettable experience. I will return again, again and again.

Surely the nicest waitress in London. She really makes the place and was fast, very efficient and very friendly. The food was ok- deep fired squid was soggy, phad thai only so-so. I have had better at the Thai restaurants on Lavander Hill for much less money

It wasn't busy, but even with hardly anyone in the place there's atmosphere. Our very nice waitress was super-efficient, remembered our order without a notepad - something that's more often than not a bad idea - but the food came swiftly and there were no mistakes.
I can't recommend the food highly enough. It's really tasty, with unusual twists on commonplace dishes, with the freshest ingredients and the tenderest meat.
It was pretty good value too, with three people, two bottles of wine and around 8 dishes, it was only £110 including service.
Nancy Lam kept a low profile, but we couldn't resist saying how much we liked it on our way out.
We shall be going again and again.

Went on a Saturday not very busy, food was okay but the rip off was the house wine. Prices you would expect in the west end not Lavenderhill.

Went to Nancy's restaurant for my mums birthday we were certainly not disappointed the food was supurb and the staff were lovely offering advice on what and how much to order, I took my two children who also enjoyed the food (and were certainly made welcome) Nancy and Ben made my mum a chocolate and bannana birthday cake, Nancy herself dished up the cake which was still warm from the oven (how fresh is that) we had a great time and will definately be going back again and again,

Enak Enak was just what the doctor ordered! My husband and I got there at 8pm and although the restaurant was empty on arrival, it filled up nicely during the evening (I think it was probably something to do with only being 3 days til Christmas!). The staff were amazingly friendly, but thankfully not sickenly so! I asked the waitress for some recommendations as we had not been before, and she gave us a couple of different suggestions that turned out to be really lovely. We skipped starters, moving straight onto Beef Rendang and an amazing Pork dish that I can't remember the name of. We paired these up with a side of Pak Choi and Celebration Noodles (with prawns, chickens etc.. etc...). The meal was topped off with one what is a serious contender for the best dessert of my life - Banana Fritters and home-made Sorbet... delicious!! Portion size is perhaps a little smaller than most Asian restaurants; however we were definitely fully content after out meal. All up, our meal for two (with a bottle of £17 wine) came to £70, which we both thought was very good value for money. We will definitely be going back as there's so much more on the menu I want to try and I didn't get chance to spot all of the celebrities featured in Nancy's photo wall! Top marks!
