An excellent restaurant which we went to following a review in the Time Out 2007 guide -"one of London's unsung champions" -I totally agree. They have had a Red Star for 3 years now!

Went to Eriki on a Saturday night. The reataurant, whilst busy, still had a few empty tables, yet once seated it took over 10 minutes and my having to grab the waitresses attention before I could get a menu, a further 20 minutes before I could order anything. Whilst waiting to order I watched the waitress clean and lay the table next to mine, so she was fully aware that I was waiting to order.

Appalling service continued throughout the evening, which for food at these prices I do not axpect nor accept. Overpriced and ultimately an unpleasant experience, nothing ruins an evening more than poor service.

Little tip to those who had issues with the 12.5% service charge, it is always discretionary, you can refuse to pay, like I did.

The food at Eriki is expensive but well worth it. Rather than serving the same dishes as every other local indian restaurant, they have more traditional Indian dishes. The quality of the food and it's presentation are more akin to a central London restaurant, rather than a local one.

The food at Eriki is unusual and inspiring, and the cocktails aren't bad either. It's not a place to which I take the children, because it has a grand feel and is pricey, but the dishes are generous and each time I've eaten there a large amount has been left because none of us had sufficient space in our stomachs. It's overcrowded though and sitting by the pillar is not fun!

We went to Eriki on the Friday 13th of Jan. Was quite impressed with the food but the masala tea was luke warm which was a shame it would have rounded of the evening nicely. Also wasn't too impressed whilst we werehaving our dinner so were the staff...which doesn't look good.

All in all good restaraunt shame it was smoking. Agree with all the others about 12.5% service charge ...not good should be up to the customer.

I reviewed this restaurant first on London Eating as I was extremely impressed with the food at Eriki. It's in fact the only place where I can go and have an indian meal and have a glass of wine with my meal ie the spices are delicate and not overriding. I have been back many times and am still impressed. In fact, we are due to eat there again this evening! Booking at the week-end now appears to be required to avoid disappointment. Only criticism - I would prefer to leave a tip at my discretion and not that of the restaurant. It should be my choice. Other than that, hugely impressed with the food.

Excellent, refined, subtle, but earthy and healthy food. The chef is from Goa and the southern dishes are especially wonderful - but almost anything one orders here is splendid, and often tastes like proper Indian home cooking. Far better - and far less pretentious - than many of the more trendy and more expensive establishments of the kind in central London. Lovely service, warm, welcoming, attentive and gracious (the few negative comments below are surprising - off days perhaps). Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had just checked in to our hotel around the corner and felt tired after a long journey. But this place woke us up. Fantastic food (especially the Murgh Makhan Palak), nice ambience and great desserts - try the Mango Margoa. Will be back.
