The newly refurbished Jaipur Restaurant is a little gem. Located on Durnsford Road between Wimbledon Park and Southfields it offers the full complement of dishes from the Indian sub continent from the humble Chicken Tikka Masala all the way to the Lamb Rogan Josh via a tantalising Prawn Biryani.
The staff are invariably courteous and attentive and the food always arrives quickly – and piping hot, almost by magic! The Restaurant offers the full selection of beers, both Cobra and Kingfisher, which alongside the quintessential plain naan, poppadoms and chutnies form such an essential part of the authentic Indian dining experience. An experience enjoyed by the residents of Jaipur and many other Indian cities for centuries.
Close your eyes and you could almost believe that you were there, in the heart of beautiful Rajasthan, sitting down to a feast of local delicacies with the Maharajah himself.
Fiona is right. This is an experience not to miss. But, do remember to book, to avoid disappointment.
