We went to George Town for our Christmas Lunch, and we found the customer service terrible lack of communication, could not understand what we wanted. The place was so stuffed that their was no room to move, looks like that they had to many people for lunch and not enough food to go round. The food portions were horrendous, the Gulai Ayam -chicken was taste less. The Tropical Fruit salad was from a tin, I would have got better fruit from the corner shop. The tea and coffees were given to us in kids tea play sets. What a joke!

The whole meal/service from start to finish was quite disappointing, the portions were way too small, a colleague had the Nasi Sayur the menu stated fragrant malay stir fried veg with beans carrots etc, to his disatisfaction there were no veg to speak of and a very very small portion of mainly rice to add insult.
The majority of us had the Mysore AAdu, whilst that was acceptable the roti channi bread was a minute slice to eat with a lot of gravy.
Oh my goodness the dessert what can I say everyone found this to be the worst , Nanas JB what happened here one extremely small scoop of ice cream surrounded by 4 strips of tin pineapple what rum and what maple syrup.
The tropical fruit salad all from a tin and no hint of amaretto.
Childrens portions the whole meal but served to adults, was not value for money. The waiters pretended not to understand what we were saying or asking for, all in all would not revisit or recommend as a venue for a Christmas lunch maybe it was too much not enough food to go round several large groups us being one of them.

This place is ok but that's it. Went one Monday lunchtime with a friend, we were the only people there.
My first course was vege 'dimsum' which was incredibly frugal and basically two samosa type pastries which were so emaciated as to have virtually no filling
The second course was the vegetarian tofu option, which was pleasant enough although quite bland and watery and the rice portion was amazingly small.
When we asked for some pudding in the form of pineapple tartlets we were told they weren't available, so we left.
The service was good, but that was to be expected as there only two people there. Us! Also the mineral water was quite expensive, £3.50 for a bottle of still.

Not authentic Malaysian food at all. Claypot rice was not served in a claypot, but just a plate of steam rice. And the accompany dish was just a mixture of stew-like food. Appalling.

I ate here last night on a whim and it was truly dire. I am a big fan of Malaysian food but the meal I ate was possibly the worst food I have ever been served in a restaurant in my life.
To add insult to injury, the meal took forever to arrive and it was horrendously over-priced. The gado gado resembled the aborted love child of a fruit salad and an iceberg lettuce. The beef rendang was akin to a leather boot in curry sauce. I have eaten better on an airplane.
Avoid at all costs.

Went to this place a few years ago and remembered enjoying it so thought I'd give it another go. Oh dear.
The food was distinctly average. I had a fish starter and a chicken main. The fish starter was bland and very uninteresting. The presentation was poor too - it looked more like a take-away from a fast food place. The chicken satay was saved by the satay sauce, but just reminded me of cheap buffet food.
In summary, very disappointing overall. This place has lost its magic.

It was quite a while since I went but I remember it wasn't great. We went on a Sunday in January - it was my birthday and you can't pick them unless you're the Queen. The place was deserted. I seem to remember having some starter which had salad with it, the dressing, I kid you not, was salad cream. No doubt about it. Fantastic in an egg butty, but in a restaurant?!!! Mediocre at best.
