Went last 2 weeks ago, A large group of 10 adults and 3 toddlers and 2 babies, everything was accomodating for us .. high chairs etcs.. Food.. excellent.! We had promotion lunch set. . 2 course £18 and 3 courst £21.. I was quite surprised that to food is so much better than narrow in canary wharf. and deco was pleasant.. Gosh , the birthday cakes are well decorated and beautiful presented. .Would come again.. Definitely!!

My partner and myself must have gone on a bad night as I'm afraid our experience did not match up to the overwhelmingly positive reviews found on this site and elsewhere.

First of all despite booking almost a month in advance we were seated in the front part of the restaurant, a brightly lit overheated area next to where the waiters prepare the drinks, rather than in the more comfortable area further back.

When we sat down we were presented with the set menu only. I asked for the a la carte menu (as shown on the website) and the waitress, who seemed to speak little English stared back at me blankly...

The food was in the main disappointing, we had tasteless and watery scallops, dry pork belly and soggy, bog standard chips that were definitely not 'hand cut' chips as it said on the menu. In contrast, the wine was very good as was the cheese and biscuits for dessert.

In summary, a rather hit and miss experience that didn't live up to the hype.

Extremely good quality/price ratio for this local neighbourhood restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere and charming service. Not to be missed if you happen to be in the area and even worth a detour.
