The venue was lovely and as a result we were quite optimistic.
However, from the moment we sat down the experience was a disappointment.
The food was distinctly average and they had poor customer service to match.
From the chewy lamb starter to the tasteless mains, the food was distinctly average. We chose not to risk the desserts.
Mentioning our opinions on the food to the staff only worsened our experience. Rather than wanting to correct things, they then became very rude and aggressive, even going so far as accusing of us of trying to avoid paying the bill.
After paying the bill in full, we were glad to leave!
Blue Ocean may claim to be modern Asian cuisine, but until the food and service improve, we'll be sticking to our local curry house, which serves cheaper, tastier food with an owner who really looks after us.

I have been to Blue Ocean a few times and have always had excellent service. The atmosphere is so relaxing . Food fantastic.
Definately recommend the Blue Ocean.

I went to blue ocean for my 30th birthday and i was plesently suprised. The ambience was so nice, it was relaxed at first then the music was up tempo towards the end of the night to suit the mood.
The food was really nice and not what i had expected. It is a not a curry house but an indian fine dinign with a twist. the food is a fusion cusine. The starters i had the prawn somosa and my friends had the slamon tikka. That was nice.
The main i had peanut chicken with couscous and that was not spicy like i thought. the taste and flavours were great.
Fot dessert i had the pyramid which was really nice it hit my sweet tooth just right.
overall a plesent experience. will go back
