DO NOT EAT HERE. I went here on Sunday with 4 friends to get lunch. We ordered 2 beef roasts, 2 lamb roasts and a sandwich with chips. When we ordered, the place was practically empty. Only 2 other groups of people eating. We waited about 40 mins for the beef roast to arrive. About 20 minutes later the sandwich was brought down, only to be given to the wrong person. 40 minutes later, 3 of us were still waiting and the other 2 had not eaten their food as they were waiting for us. When we complained, we were told that the kitchen was very busy. Not entirely sure what they were so busy with but it certainly wasn't cooking.

We complained and asked for a refund and the manager came down to speak to us. He was aggressive, rude, and refused to give a refund, despite us still missing three meals after over an hour. During the argument that ensued I was offered a bowl of chips that one of the other tables didn't want as some sort of consolation prize. Eventually after a lot of arguing we were given a refund.

I am giving this one star because I thought it was a nice touch that Jamie's 30 minute meals was on the tv. In the time we were waiting for our food I had watched Jamie inseminate a cow, raise the calf, kill it and make a bloody lovely meal out of it.

Quite possibly the worse dining experience I have ever encountered. waiting staff polite and friendly, bar manager a complete TOOL. The Kitchen staff would struggle to paint by numbers. Ordered 4 sunday roasts, a club sandwich with chips, they only managed 2 roasts. After 30 mins, still only 2 roasts. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, and when we asked for a refund for all the food, we were met with hostility and downright rudeness from the bar manager . Avoid eating here at all costs. On a plus side, nice comfy sofas.
