This place thinks it is more than what it actually is, it is a japanese diner not a restaurant. Way over priced for its offerings. And to cap it off they add a 10% service charge to your bill. If you opt for brown rice they add a whopping great £1 to your bill person!!! Seriously these guys have a false sense of reality. Who charges £1 for extra person having brown rice instead of white? It is laughable. Overall this food is ok, nothing special. Service charge i.e. a tip should be at customers discretion otherwise no effort is made to offer good service to warrant a tip. In fact they serve the food and that is it, what else do they think they do?. Does this warrant an extra 10% to your bill? NO it doesn't. My advice eat elsewhere.

The maki sushi was mostly rice which fell apart when picked up. For about the same price you would probably get 6 rolls instead of their measly 4. The chicken teriyaki was tasty and tender and the gyoza were ok but overpriced for what you get.

I'm not sure why the reviews are so positive. The service is ok but not very attentive and the food is just not up to standard compared to other places. I would not say the quality/portion size is worth the prices.

A Rather Unusual Chinaman

A Rather Unusual Chinaman

Friday, June 03, 2011 - Their lunch menu is a most bargainous 7 quid (eat in, cheaper if you take away) and contains enough food to keep you fueled for the rest of the day...Opting for a chicken teriyaki box, I had some sesame bean sprouts, some pickles, a dressed salad, some edamame, a little potato salad and a generous portion of chicken and rice. Best of all, it all tastes pretty great. I've been working in Covent garden for about a year now and I don't think you are going to find much better food at much better value in the vicinity.
