Sancho Panza

Sancho Panza. So good it has closed down ! I went there a year ago and had poor service, very bad Paella with frozen prawns ... still frozen. Yet when I challenged the waitress she argued like a High court barrister that the prawns are fresh!

Strangely the prawns still had ice in the middle. She then refused to take it off the bill! poor place and glad its closed.

Sancho Panza had been recommended to me, but I can safely say I won't be going back. The food is ok, but it did seem like something I could cook at home. Furthermore, the music is just too loud for a venue of this size. We really had to raise our voices to be heard, and I left with a considerable headache.

I have been eating at this restaurant for years, and the food and service is excellent. The brocheta de cordero is a lamb skewer presented on a vertical stand and is an outstanding dish with the creme catalana the best I have tasted, but sometimes you have to get in early or they usually sell out.

This is a place that should always be tried, and I am certain you will want to return.
