your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I just had dinner here on tonight (Friday) with my wife. It was not busy and I was worried because of this. I was quickly convinced that this would not be an issue. I am Canadian and thus used to American steaks, so their claims to serve qualty American steaks was going to be put to the test.
Service was friendly and prompt. We didn't have starters but went for some cocktails, a vodka martini and a passion fruit martini. It's not difficult to make a quality vodka martini with grey goose, but I must say the passion fruit served with a small glass of champagne for my wife was very good and I would recommend this.
She had the American strip loin and I had the blackened ribeye (blackened = cajon seasoning), both medium rare. Both steaks were decent sizes, the strip loin impressively big. They were served up rather quickly, and they were very easy to cut with the standard table knives as the meat was so tender (the test of a well cooked quality steak). Very, very tasty on par with the likes of Goodman, etc. Of course the setting is not the same but the place is cosy and clean.
The wines by the glass were good - no complaints here.
We shared a cheesecake for dessert. It was not too sweet (which is proper!), and a decent portion.
The place is not cheap, but compared to what you'll get at Gauchos for the same price, this is a much better option.
I have lived 3 blocks from this restaurant for 5 years and can't believe I have only found it now. I will be organising a dinner here with a group of friends soon. Highly recommended!!

The best steak I have eaten in the City of London for many a year. Steak in the City always (to me) meant a trip to Bubba at the Arkansas Cafe and when he decided to close it was a sad day for meat lovers. It has taken me a while to find Missouri Angel but without doubt it was well worth the wait to find this restaurant. You get what you pay for in life and this was certainly a meal well worth the price.

Booked restaurant for a business lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food despite the waiter seeming a little bit confused. Would have been preferred to have been seated upstairs and was a little annoyed that this was not made clear on the booking confirmation.

We ate here at 7pm on a Thursday night and the place was empty (until around 8.30pm when 2 other tables were taken). It was a little odd sitting in the restaurant alone - very quiet and obviously the waiter can hear all your comments. We ordered starters - my corn chowder was very nice and a good portion size. Others enjoyed theirs and commented that they were well cooked. For main I had a pepper encrusted steak - I have never seen so much pepper on a steak before and struggle to get through it, my friend suffered the same problem, it was basically a pile of pepper with some steak underneath. It wasn't particularly tasty steak either, pretty tough and bland. We got free wine due to a voucher I had printed from their website and the house red was very drinkable. Service was good (but we were the only people there). I wouldn't return, nothing sticks out as memorable.
