Roadhouse

Went there on Saturday evening with a friend before the Opera. The food was nice, service was good and fast, waiters nice, smiling. Atmosphere stylish and energetic. Definetely will go there again.

Booked a private area for about 30 people for several birthday parties, have never experienced worse service in any bar - in terms of waiting time, or just feeling that you were really inconveniencing the bar staff in asking for a drink.

Staff would roll their eyes to the ceiling, fair enough they were busy but I wouldn't expect the barman to turn around and say "i'm only gonna give you 2" where you'd asked for 4, and make out like you were asking for the moon on a stick.

Staff constantly pushed you out of the way (our corner was fairly close to the kitchen) with no hint of an "excuse me", seriously consistently rude staff with no concept of customer service. The only comment you'd hear from everyone present that night was how incredibly rude staff were. To top the evening off a bouncer who was spoling for a fight and went out of his way to be rude and aggressive upon leaving the venue.

Would not go back if you paid me, cocktails were poor too. Probably the worst london venue/bar I have visited.

I have been coming to the Roadhouse for the last couple of years and spent both my 21st and 20th birthdays there.

I always find the staff friendly, even though they are rushed of their feet on a busy saturday night!

The food is delicious and the service is wonderful.

I always take friends who are visiting London and make sure we get there in time for happy hour!

A brilliant venue for a night of tasty food, fantastic cocktails, fantastic atmosphere all at a very reasonable price :)

The booking process went smoothly. They even called me in the morning to confirm my booking. The service was not bad at all, the prices a bit expensive but is ok. The food i must say did not like or enjoy it, the starters had the word "oily" and "junk" all over it ... just fry things. The main course was ok but the chicken fajitas were very dry. not enough dips to go with it.

In general i would say it is a good place to go ut for drinks and some dancing. no for a dinner. it is just not the place for that. I advise you to go with your friends or colleagues or a big party, not the best place if you ar trying to impress your girlfriend.

Visited last night. Food was slow to arrive, starters were a pathetically small, desserts weren't offered. Chairs and table cleared before anyone had asked if we had finished, desssert not even offered. chairs and table taken away for room for a dance floor. Staff very rude to do this without asking whether we had finished. Atmosphere ok. Prices not bad.

Beware leaving anything in pockets in coat room as one of our party had mobile phone taken.

Also table had less chairs then booked so we had to squash up to fit another 4 chairs in.

A good night out if you want a wild one and a bit of a dance late and surprisingly very good place for after work drinks!!! I have found they do a very cheep happy hour from when they open till 8ish paid around £15 for a round of 9 beers very good 10/10. service was also good had a lovely young girl serve us beers all night on our table saving us the trouble of going to the bar (probably a good thing as the bar was very busy) good atmosphere got even better when they had a band comer on stage the music covers all tastes. I can see how roadhouse would not appeal to every one but we all loved it. Two of our group were asked for ID on the door (they were both 20) doorman was polite and friendly and i guess just doing there job

V. good love this place i found it one Friday night after work V. Good happy hours drinks are not really that expensive in the happy hour most drinks are £2-3 friendly staff very attentive, we have been back to eat and got a 50% off voucher from there web sight food was very good for the money and had no problems using the voucher. One thing it does get very busy as the night gets on we always get in before 9 (to avoid the £10 charge) but by 11 it is packed full of people always a nice crowed I love it

Mmmmhhh, not sure whether I like this place or not. I love the concept of live music mixed with DJing, I love the venue decor (although a little dirty). The people that go tend to all be having a great time and the atmosphere is great. However, drinks are sooo expensive, I could understand it if they had exclusive DJ sets or good service but they don't. And as for the security, oh my goodness they are heavy handed. Everytime I have been they have been rude to people either with our group or people near us. Seriously, I am a qualified security/door person and I would never be so agressive.

Overall, the venue and atmosphere is great which is what counts, but the management of the venue should look very carefully as their security policy and price structure. Definately worth a visit but remain on best behaviour or else big unreasonable security will come over and spoil your evening!! It is £10 to get in after 9pm and nearly as much for a drink at the bar. Hope this helps....

Do not in your right mind go to this place. At 6pm, as we walked in to sit at our table, a large bouncer, 'Ozzie', asked my 27 year-old girlfriend for ID in a very agrressive manner. The manager who was nearby did nothing and the bouncer became physically aggressive, standing inches from her face for no reason. All the while badly-dressed chavs poured in either side of us. I didn't think places like this existed in Covent Garden. We left immediately and will never return.
