It is my favourite restaurant in London. I go with my partner twice a month. The food is always great. I always order Linguini Seafood Special, it is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is nice, on Fridays they have live piano music, very romantic. I will recommend it to everyone.

My husband and I went for dinner here and we were very disappointed. The restaurant has no ambience, there was a candle flickering on one table and I asked whether we could have one and was told they didn't have anymore, my meal was very dry, I had the sirloin steak which was served with saute potatoes, green beans and mushrooms, I asked if they had a sauce avaialable and they took my meal away and said they had put masala sauce on it. It was awful, it tasted like toffee. We would definately not go back.

I go here nearly every week with my grilfriend and we love this place, the service is friendly, efficient and attentive and the food of a consistent high quality. The Barolo is exceptional. Favourite for her is the Linguine La Lanterna and for him the Sea Bass, the side of asparagus is also worth a mention. The pizzas are traditional style and very tasty, but huge so make sure you are hungry. On my Mums birthday the pianist played 'Happy Birthday' and whole restaurant sang. Enjoy this place, its unique.

Restaurant owner insisted several time on our party ordering wine, this was embarrassing and very bad taste.

Again restaurant owner gave an unfriendly answer to a polite question of a lady of the group, the question of another lady was simply ignored.

Pizza and tiramisu good though sant alucia, madeinitaly and marechiaro in my eyes are much better.

My boyfriend and I went to La Lanterna for his birthday and we had a superb evening. The staff are attentive and friendly and the food is exceptional! Ample portions served in a comfortable surrounding. The only down point is that they serve your courses in quick succession. I would recommend this unpretentious restaurant to anyone who is looking for good food at a reasonable price. The menu is diverse offering something for everyone and if you are into mussels this is the place to go. Would definitely go back.

One or two surprising reviews here - I can only say that you must have caught the place on an off night. In short, if you are looking for traditional Italian cooking, this place is absolutely superb. Good service & setting, it almost always seems to be someone's birthday in there and the staff will dim the lights and get the whole restaurant involved. Pizzas are amazing and some of the starters are brilliantly simplistic which allows you to taste the goodness of the traditional ingrediants (Bruschette san daniele springs to mind). For an unexpected treat, try the Peppercorn Fillet steak, it will comfortably hold its own against a Fillet in any purely Steak focused place (such as Gaucho Grill). On the wine front, anyone who likes their red's will not be disappointed with the Amarone & Barolo on offer here. This is a must.

Very friendly italien venue, good selection of simple, well made and promptly served food. Only negative was that some dishes are heavy on the garlic. Good for vampires, bad for pre date lunch!
