I must live on a different planet to all the other reviewers.
This place seems to have a lot of positive press coverage- that's why I went there.
Its usually described as a reasonably priced cafe but it charges restaurant prices for what are small portions. You could easily walk away with £40 for two. Not what you would expect for a quick lunch in an almost hole in the wall cafe (seating for 10-12) especially when you compare to other places in Finchley.
The food tastes OK but nothing special.
The owner, on first glance is friendly but I found him pushy- he asked me if I wanted something to drink 5 times. The one drink I wanted was some kind of health drink at £30 a bottle. But more worryingly they do not display prices which is against the law!
I won't be going there again in a hurry.

This is a small and cosy cafe which we came across by chance. All the dishes that we ordered were great - for starters we had heart-of-palm pie and a beef something ( i forget what its called!) and cassava cheese bread (which was super), for mains we had haddock in tomato gravy and a lamb casserole with spicy rice. the caffe latte is highly recommended as well. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We were told that the menu changes daily, so I'm quite certain we'll be going back soon!
