On a random Wednesday we decided to go out and celebrate my uncle’s birthday, it was my first time at Maurya and I was genuinely surprised not only by the food which was excellent but also the combination of interior décor, faint background music and the waiter service. Would definitely go there again and thoroughly recommend it to others.

Highly recomended by local friends tempted to been there,finally on 23rd June saturday night it was very busy, people were waiting for the table,though we were booked a week in advance, the name plate was on the table, wow ! frist thing impresss us as if we are in westend restaurant. Bit crowded, perfect

ambiance,good attentive staffs, good service and gourgeous food, chicken kathi roll very tasty, lamb dahiwala,vegetable makhanwala and roomali roti, remind me a decade ago dine at India ( Delhi).

SUNDAY 24TH jUNE 2007.

As a last minute decision, we decided to hold a family party to celebrate my son's 21st birthday.

Not only was the manager Pravin and the owner Sandip very accomodating, but the whole event was set up for us wonderfully. The menu is excellent and the service that we received was of a very high standard.

We will definitely be returning and will have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to our friends and family.

everything i come here, the food is great,

i dont why some people say it isnt.

theres parking at the back in the sainsburys car park

this place never gets packed in the evenings, so i know i will get a table here at weekends/evenings when other places are packed out.

I used to go Maurya regularly and have always had good food and even better service. However on my last visit I was disappointed with both.

It's a shame that some thing has changed at this restaurant.

I am sure that that I will not be visiting the place in again in the near future.

HAD A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT MAURYA, STANMORE FOR MY HUSBAND ON 26TH DEC 2006-NORMALLY CLOSED BUT OPENED ESPECIALLY FOR US.

THE FOOD WAS WELL-COOKED,EXTREMELY TASTY AND GOOD PORTIONS- MORE CAME IF ASKED. THE WAITERS WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND WE FELT VERY WELCOMED.

THE DECOR IS TASTEFUL AND THE BACKGROUND MUSIC SUBTLE-JUST HOW IT SHOULD BE TO SOCIALISE AT A PARTY.WILL DEFINITELY FREQUENT THIS RESTAURANT.

Shame its location is dismal. Food was mediocre from what they claim to be an Oberoi Chef (means nothing). They have obviously copied Haandi glass screen style works well though. Service good, atmosphere bit cold i.e too big a restaurant and lacks flair. Once again, parking not very good and the food was so so.

I live in stanmore and as usual you normally wouldnt consider local hotels. Having looked at the reviews on here we went to Mauryas and must say it was very nice. Looks deceivingly small from outside but its a good size restaurant where you can see the chiefs cooking. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Nice atmosphere and reasonable price. Make sure you book as this place seems like it gets booked out pretty quickly.
