Noodle King

My Partner and I went last week and are going to get a take away tonight as it is really yummy...... I didn't even have a starter as my boyfriend had been before and advised not to as the portions are so big....I couldn't even finish my plate of chicken chow mein (and I'm pregnant so have a huge appetite at the mo!!) but for 30p they allow you to take leftovers home in a container!! Great stuff as I hate wasting good food....had a wicked munch watching a dvd later that night.

Can't wait til he gets home with that take away tonight!!!!

Went there yesterday, 18 March 2007 for Mother's Day, for the first time. Six adults and four children and we were all pleasantly surprised by the amount and quality of the food, by the quick and helpful service. My son is a bit choosy with his food but enjoyed hte spring rolls, ribs and even some of the noodles. I had the No. 43 Singapore spicey rice with meat which is all meat, chicken, beef, pork and duck. We had a selcection of starters, 8 main courses and a few soft drinks - all for under £50. The seating is a bit basic but clean, we would definitely go again in the near future.

I'm lost with all the previous comments. I look on this site for recommendations to great food in restaurants.

Let me set the facts straight. IT'S A LOCAL GREASY SPOON CHINESE RESTAURANT! I'm chinese, I've eaten chinese food in alot of places and countries. This iS stock standard MSG'd up food with decent flavourings and it's greasy. For the price and the size of the portions it's great. I live in the local area and only get it when I finish work late and night and need a half decent quick meal instead of crappy southern fried chicken or pizza in the area.

Please note it's a cheap and decent local chinese restaurant to go to but it's not somewhere you make a special trip to from the other side of town. If you do do that, let me be the first to congratulate you for the effort.
