Al Mirage

The best mutter paneer in the universe, amazing garlic naan, and an extensive selection of vegetarian, fish and meat dishes. 'Hot' at Al Mirage isn't perhaps as hot as you would expect, so if you want a dish really spicy, make that clear to the waiter. The service is fast, the meals are delicious, and the surroundings are much nicer than some of the other curry houses in the area. The toilets are also quite clean by local standards. Also, the value for money is outstanding. My friend and I had poppadums to start, two vegetable dishes, a shared vegetable biryani, a shared garlic naan, and a couple of cans of soft drink for £16.50.

Being an indian I have eaten at most curry restaurants in tooting although my favourite restaurant for food would be Al-Mirage, I must say it has been a pleasure eating here their fresh fruit juices are good and I would certainly recommend the Al-Mirage Masala Fish for starters!!! Their food is certainly better than their overhyped neighbour's try it for yourself!!

One of my favourite Tooting curry houses. Brilliant food, good service and recommendations from the staff and nice, fresh juices. Shame that you can't bring your own booze in, but it's no big deal. Better than the overrated Mirch Masala.

Heve tried to write a review before but didn't appear on site...so here goes. Good tasty food, fresh and not too oily. Always competent, helpful and low profile service. Restaurant always tries to accommodate including cooking a roast off menu for a couple of fussy eaters in our party. Have been many times. Much nicer than the conveyor belt approach of next door and no more expensive
