I have been going to the place for since it first opened in tooting. Since the first time I dined their it has improved even more. This is probably the best and cheapest place in tooting to have a meal.
Today me and my sisters wanted to celebrate New Year, so we decided to go to Al Mirage, we ordered; lamb karahi, chicken achari, seekh kebabs, chicken biryani and butter nans. They were all delicious, as soon as we had the first bite we were extremely happy and enjoyed very much.
The food is also cheaper and much better then Mirch masala which is right next door!
Absolutely fantastic food! will always go to the same place.

Al Mirage is my favourite Indian restaurant in London. The decor and ambience are not really up to par but who cares because the food is absolutely fantastic. I've lived most of my life in Bombay and i can honestly say that Al Mirage serves truly authentic indian food. Just talking about it makes me want to go eat there again. I suggest you try the chicken tikka masala and the masala fish..truly a delight.

The best pakistani restaurant in London!!!!!!
I take my mother out on a regular basis to spend time with with her as she is in a wheelchair. Al-Mirage is the only restaurant I know that has a lift to the upstairs floor. The food is absolutely amazing. It is freshly cooked. None of the microwaved stuff and none of large displays where the food has been lying all day. The prices are so cheap it doen't seem worth it to cook at home. I even get food delivered from Al-Mirage as well. Once you try it, you will be hooked believe me.

I booked the upper seating area for my daughter's 1st birthday party (around 40 people)
We pre booked the menu and were charged on a per head basis,
The food was amazing Lamb pilau, fish tikka, kebabs, peshawri ghosht (lamb in the bone)
We were also allocated 2 waiters who were very friendly and attentive.
The decor is a pleasant breakaway from other local restaurants.

We decided to give Al-Mirage a chance. We had a lovely meal, with fantastic service, in very nice and clean surroundings. A table was set up for us in 2 minutes and we had a very very enjoyable night. As a party we spent a fair whack of money on a feast. Thank you again, we know NEVER to go to Lahore Karahi, and always to go to Al-Mirage!!!

I have eaten at this restaurant twice in the same week and I came away happy both times! The food is gorgeous and staff are really polite. The service is really quick and it is such good value for money. I will definitely return in the near future.

Great food, very accommodating staff. Phenomenal value.
I went with 17 other people to celebrate my birthday recently. Admittedly a Tuesday so it was not that busy but far from empty. On seeing that the original table they had prepared for us was not going to be big enough because I had added to my numbers they hastily arranged a much bigger and wider table which proved most convivial and spacious enough for the large quantities of food they were going to bring. Once I got there I was alos offered a special set menu for large groups at £12 each which included 4 starters, 3 mains, breads and rice as well as unlimited (non-alcoholic) drinks. The food was all to a high standard (I liked especially the delicacy of the fish tikka starter and the smoky garlic punch of the chana masala) and it all came out very quickly given the numbers. There were lashings of mango lassi brought out on demand in jugs. It was luscious and thick with cool fruit and yoghurt. Obviously choice was a bit reduced for vegetarians but they were flexible with the choices for our menu and you could always add off the a la carte if necessary. I brought one vegetarian friend who had no complaints.
At the end there was no messing about with the bill, it was exactly 18 x £12 as promised. The only criticism (and this is very small) is that their website does not make clear their no alcohol policy, which I think is entirely their call but is at odds with what many might expect. It's a pretty modern and quite swish looking restaurant but not even BYO is allowed. This was not at all a problem for me as I had done some research before booking but a passer-by or web browser would not easily assume this.
As a result of their hospitality and fantastic value I am definitely keen to return and sample the rest of the menu and sink a few more lassis. A most satisfying evening.
