We went to jimmy spices in Stratford following a busy afternoon shopping. We arrived at 18.15 hrs unaware that there was an early bird deal. The waiter informed us of this but as we were very hungry and didn't want to rush, we thought we would just take our time and enjoy the evening.

My partner and I enjoyed plenty of food which was very tasty. However we were a bit miffed to find that our 10 and 11 yr old had been charged the full adult price of £15 despite only really eating very little.

I am aware that jimmy spices make it clear that the cut off point for a child is 10 and over but it does make eating out with children very expensive and I don't think we will be doing it again despite the food being good.

My name is Emmanuela. We went yesterday to celebrate my friend birthday. It has been my first time at this restaurant in Staines..and I am still in shock!

The place is very beautiful, loved the colours, tables, pictures on the wall, the bar, the long food area.... All very well displayed and very CLEAN!!!!

The food is very good quality and the great idea that you can ask anything you want made fresh is so amazing!

Well done to who had the inspiration to open this kind of business !

But most of all I have to say that what impressed me and my friends is the customer service..... The waiters are so nice, so welcoming, asking always if everything is ok even if are so busy.

I can't wait to come back again!

Thank you for the great Jimmy experience !

jimmy spices is of a type of eatery where you go with friends you know well and can relax and eat without discretion, after all its a buffet and you're not going to gag when you see the bill.as for the food, only once have i been when it was sub-standard;luke warm, tasteless and depressing, that was on their late session 7pm until 9pm,maybe they just want to clear up and go home(can't blame 'em for that;i feel like that at work every day).so i can sympathise with people who've gone after 9pm.

however;the staff have always smiled and been polite with exellent manners.

the best time to eat here is when they open for the day for the 12 until 2pm session, everything is freshly cooked, hot and tasty,i just love the curries and naan breads(not buttered),their starters are delicious:chicken kebabs, fish pakoras and lamb kebabs with tasty dips, love the fresh green chillies that you can eat with them too.

love the fresh fruit for dessert and ice cream to end the meal.if you don't order fizzy drinks it's under 8quid per head.it's the only place to eat for us.love it.

not the one of us hesitates to go back.nice one jimmy, see you soon.

A group of friends and myself went to Jimmy Spices in South Wimbledon last night. We arrived about 9.30 only to be told that were closing at 10.30 - we should have left then after this sort of reception. We had to ask for another table as our seats were sticky - the next table wasn't much better. We asked for tap water whilst we were looking at the wine list - it was luke warm! The staff ranged from surly to sluggish. We had to ask for chicken to be put into the butter chicken and lamb to be put into the Rogan Josh - otherwise they were just sauces, which caused more eye-rolling from the chefs. The starters were all deep fried and over done. The Chinese and Italian section - don't even bother and if we had had the Thai green curry I think we would have all been ill - it smelt so bad. Really spoilt our night - AVOID AVOID AVOID. Go to Cento just up the road - had an amazing meal there the night before for £12.95 and the service was excellent!

I must echo what most others have written - the Indian food is pretty good and really worth piling up on. The rest is poor - bland imitations of Italian and far Eastern food. Perhaps good for a group who cannot agree on what to eat, but otherwise avoid.

Good service for a buffet.

On my birthday 28th December my partner and I went to the Wimbledon restaurant. From the outside the restaurant looks as though it has a warm and intimate ambience. Inside, on the other hand, it feels more like a cold industrial cafeteria where people just refuel and go again. There was nothing to make my visit feel special and as though I was having a treat on a special occasion. I was also disapointed by the food. A couple of the indian dishes had sub-standard chicken in the sauces. There were all manner of parts of a chicken in one of the sauces incuding the fatty bits that you would normally throw away- most unappetising. It remnded me of a holiday to Cuba where the chicken was much the same. However, I would expect this standard of food in Cuba due to the embargo on its trade and the negative effect this has had on the quality of their food. But to find this standard of food in Jimmy Spices in London was a surpise. As well as big bits of bone that you could easily see in the sauces, and so could avoid eating, there was also in virtually all the sauces that I tried small bits of bone that you could damage a tooth on if you were unlucky. Even my drink, a big glass of Lemonade, tasted acidy as though something had gone seriously wrong with the pipes it was served out of.

My trip to the ladies toilets was also an eye opener. The toilets were in a terrible mess and looked like they had not been attended to since opening that day (it was about 9pm when I visited them). There is no excuse for this. McDonalds, who would have a much higher number of customers using their toilets, manage to keep theirs very clean and tidy. Yet, I would have forgiven them for not being able to keep up a good standard of cleaniness with their volume of users. I could not think of an excuse for Jimmy Spices I am afraid.

All in all, my partner and I were glad to leave the restaurant, but unhappy that we had not gone to our local Chinese restaurant that has never let us down in the past and would have been a far better end to what had been so far a wonderful birthday.

Lot of Indian food variety and for those taste is good. Unfortunately Chinese food I had was burnt and tasteless (noodles specifically). Although Italian was average.

Dessert is mainly for children who loves candies, cakes, etc. Not anything posh or sophisticated.

Staff and customer service is brilliant (Wimbledon branch). They are very attentive and clear plates as soon as you go for next serving.

Overall I had good experience (some to do with good staff). They can definitely improve on Chinese and dessert. If you are feeling hungry and want to have a good Indian food, this place is a good option.

Would not hesitate in recommending this place to friends.

We were delighted after our experience at Jimmy Spices, having tried out more tha one branch at many, many occassions, we were never disapointed! Its got the whole world in one resturant, may not have thousands of dishes from each cuisine, but the fresh, huge variety of dishes, with something and everything for everyone, we love going there!

I know a lady who on one occasion went 3 consecutive days with differant people. Amazing. Many desserts and great customer service with a happy atmosphere and just somewhere to go when your very hungry.

Well, to be frank, we love going there and cant see why people wouldnt like it, its an international buffet with a lot of choice and fresh, lush flavour.

I'm mad about international cusine. Especially American. I was told Jimmy Spices international cusine offered 4 cuisines. However, the only thing they're good at is the South Asian cusine. The rest...well they don't even try their best. I've just wasted £13!!

East Asian food is POOR quality. No duck. No shredded beef. No sushi. Just several types of greasy chop suey which you could get for £5 on Tottenham Court Road. If you want Chinese food, go to a Chinese restaurant seem to have been the implied message from the manager.

Italian food is just 3 simple dishes which was discovered by those studying in higher education. Penne pasta covered only in tomato paste. 2 types of pizza!! Vegetarian and pork. Like where's the tagilatelle pasta!!! Pizza!! How about some halal beef!! (It is supposedly a halal friendly restaurant)

Desserts are awful!! Just candy and sugar with no flour in the bread. So sugary it will make your teeth fall out.

Sad truth is this is a place for those parents who love South Asian food only!! and who have kids who that want to explore other cuisines. It's a place that will cater to your kids curiosity of what it's like to eat non-South Asian food.

The restaurant is well facilitated for large groups however some who do attend thse large group dinings just eat before they come to the restaurant because they're so appalled by the quality and not looking to waste their £13
